Idk how people feel about the song but I love "Hero" by Skillet, and have always thought it'd be a good theme song for wrestling. WWE has used it - twice, actually, if I remember correctly. Alex Riley's theme is a WWE ripoff of it

Just because I have no other thread to post it in and I don't make threads, I'll post it here.
The E has really made me happy over the last 2 years signing indie wrestlers that I truly enjoy. Not only that but these guys are excelling in FCW. I'm not saying the culture has changed but I hope they stay on this path. I really don't think they can fail in the next few years with the people they have. Sadly on the indies the only two* people left that I seriously mark for are Chucky T and Steen. Both of which are long shots.
Naturally I will always bow to Ultramantis but he'll never get a shot.

I honestly wouldn't rule out Steen getting a shot in WWE. He is still only 27, could probably drop some weight if he tried and I think on a good day WWE would hire him if JR or somebody was able to pitch him as a Mick Foley type where his physique doesn't matter.

I heard him say in an interview that he doesn't want to try out for WWE because the indy schedule suits his personal life better. I guess that could change a couple years down the line.

That said, he is in his 20s still, so there is still time down the line.

I've never bought into Steen. Particularly underscored by the fact that when he was in the audience at a Chicago ROH show I just thought it was an overweight fan heckling.

I havent read much of this thread, so I might be repeating someone, but oh well.
Watching the latest PWG dvd, and man, Hero isnt nearly as lean as he was last year. He's not exactly fat, but he's much more flabby than hes been in a few years.

That was due to inactivity with the problems about his test. He barely worked during that period, and wasn't in ring shape.
Saw his ACW match vs. ACH last night, incredible.

I've just been introduced to Chuck Taylor, he amuses me greatly.
Also, Sara Del Ray and Cheerleader Melissa! Between them, Kong, Beth and Nattie, they could totally turn the divas around.
But yes, I'm getting so ridiculously excited for when Hero debuts in FCW. And may be crushing on him again...

The problem is that it's much harder to be a journeyman wrestler nowadays.

It'll probably take more time to get used to Kassius Ohno than it did for Seth Rollins, Dean Amrbose, or Daniel Bryan.....but then I thought of something.
I'm pretty sure Hero picked the name. Look at his wrist tape in the pictures: "KO" as in "That Young Knockout Kid." That's how I see it I guess.

He's totally going to have a Japanese superfan gimmick where he changed his name to a Japanese last name. He'll tape his eyes back and throw rice at his opponents, which, to Vince, is perfectly normal for Asians to do.

Hopefully he grabbed the Twitter username he wanted for his new name as the squatters/account fakers have been registering the main ones all afternoon.
