They did this on purpose. They are trying to get "us" on Cena's side! That's what I suspect. Has to be. The Rock is perhaps my favorite wrestler of all time, but he was horrible tonight.

All a ploy to get Cena over. Dear god. The had Rock attempt to call him out on the stuff people don't like about him. Hearing it out loud just makes it sound stupid.

I think I felt my childhood die with that promo. Really, Rock? Really...?

The WWE's last ditch effort to put John Cena on the same level as The Rock, Austin, and Hogan.
And thanks to Dwayne being less of a promo than he was twelve years ago, it's working.

I was right on the tightrope between both the Cenation and Team Bring It until just now. I choose Cena.

I'm in no way, shape, or form on Team Cena, but dude embarrassed The Rock out there.
I mean, literally humiliated him on the mic.
That was the saddest shit Rock has done since coming back.

Is it just me, or is this part of The Rock promo coming off as a guy desperate to try to save face after just getting annihilated? That's exactly what it was.

People are really losing themselves in this feud. They'll probably have a good laugh about it later.

Cena not only owned him twice but Rock looks like an idiot for needing notes on his wrist and fumbling after Cena destroyed him.

The Rock is way better than that. They're pushing John Cena like it's 2005.

I thought it was awesome. Even Cena's promo was perfect - short and to the point, no bullshit.

I guess the "Rock is going to show up and kill Cena this week" crowd was wrong.

He might be able to get trends going, but damn, that man can no longer cut a promo. He was painful there. Let's not go insane, it was one promo. How long has it been since Cena himself has said anything worthwhile before the past two weeks? It was an absolutely terrible segment but they have a month left.

It's odd.
Cena decisively, at least tonight, 'won', the promo battle.
Yet the Rock's charisma still had the people firmly in his corner.
Not knocking it, just sayin.
