Is it just me, or is this part of The Rock promo coming off as a guy desperate to try to save face after just getting annihilated? That's exactly what it was. Totally. Read the sig.

A ploy?
Rock was trying to freestyle that promo and it wasn't very good.
Cena came out and told it like it was.
What ploy?

It wouldn't have been as bad if Rock hadn't let Cena walk all the way to the back before saying "Yeah, that's right! Run away before I slap your lips off!" It seemed so childish.
My God, if not for the crowd propping him up, that would have amounted to a full-on burial.

That was such a transparent attempt to make cena into the babyface.
It like usual didnt work.
No matter what Cena could never dream to be on the level of rock.

I'm so disappointed right now. That was terrible, Rock. What a massive letdown.
I hope John Cena kicks his ass at WrestleMania.

They did this on purpose. They are trying to get "us" on Cena's side! That's what I suspect. If they are doing this, its without The Rock's knowledge. No way he comes back and gets made to look bad just to make Cena liked by the internet. They could be manipulating things in this fashion however. In this "reality" era, The Rock just doesn't match up to Cena promo-wise. That is insane, but that's where we are.

People are really losing themselves in this feud. They'll probably have a good laugh about it later. It's fun.

most promos are a ploy like that. I won't disagree at all, wrestling is theater. John Cena's the honorable hero against the Hollywood 2 bit phony The Rock like it's some Sid and Marty Krofft episode. To the indifference of everyone.

It's odd. Cena decisively, at least tonight, 'won', the promo battle. Yet the Rock's charisma still had the people firmly in his corner. Not knocking it, just sayin. Pretty much. Rock had nothing to say after he dispelled the stupid argument about him not being there every week. That interruption needed to happen much sooner, unless we really needed more stuff to trend on Twitter for 5 minutes. Yet the Rock still held a major victory in that the crowd was still on his side.

A ploy? Rock was trying to freestyle that promo and it wasn't very good. Cena came out and told it like it was. What ploy? Yeah, I'm not seeing it either. The Rock cut a shitty promo and Cena had a very good one...Not sure how that's a ploy.

Vince is going as low as having Cena screw up Rock's promo to have more people on Cena's side so they'll be more even? Especially with Cena calling Rock out on the wrist thing.
Are you serious?
This has turned the feud sour for me. I think I don't want to watch the damn match anymore after that crap. Damn. I really wanted some straight feuds, none of that underlying crap Cena pulled tonight. They let Cena stomp over Rock last week and now Cena stomps all over Rock this week in the middle of his promo.
I'm officially pissed and turned off from this feud. Thank you WWE.

Seeing the reactions of the last two pages...I think it's working somewhat but most of the crowd is still Team Rock.
I just don't think he's a sellout in the face of the fans. The majority of fans just don't sympathise with Cena and "the boys". I know I don't.
