No replacement race for China, but Fontana will now be a 500-mile race. www.indycar.com/News/2012/06-June/6-25-IICS-2012-schedule-updateShame about no replacement race, but I can understand why they're not doing one. It's a little too late to do any sort of reasonable promotion and could potentially hurt the event going forward if it's thrown together. Great news on Fontana being a 500-mile race though.

I guess everybody skipped tonight's race at Kentucky.
Brad Keselowski won the Sprint Cup race, followed by Kahne, Hamlin, Dale Jr., and Jeff Gordon.
Kenseth leads Dale Jr. by 11 points heading into the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona next weekend.
Austin Dillon won the Nationwide race Friday night.

Didn't really skip it so much as couldn't tell ya much about it thanks to TNT's piss poor coverage. Also while Dillon won the NNS race and got the points lead, he'll take a hit fall back to second in the points because he failed post race inspection. Too low in the rear thanks to a broken jack bolt according to the team.

Damn... that must be the nastiest injury to a driver in an F1 car since Senna died. I mean, there have been lots of serious accidents and injuries, but nothing permanent like blindness in one eye.

Dillion and Childress need to pull their heads out their asses. After the jack bolt infraction found after winning last week, they were found to have a cooling hose disconnected after Dillion won the pole today. So Dillion will drop to the back of the field for the NNS race this weekend and I'd expect the CC to be suspended on Monday or Tues. since this will be his third infraction this year (he is on probation for the first, they let him slide with a fine on the second). Ricky Stenhouse (who will take over the 17/6 next year in Sprint Cup) will be on the pole for the NNS race now. www.nascar.com/nationwide-series/news/120706/adillon-qualifying-time-disallowed/index.html?eref=/news/headlines/bg

Because as long as they stay clean, anyone can win Daytona.

Stewart and Dillon are f***ED. Both men had open air hose ducts in their qualifying cars, thus their times were stripped, and both men will start shotgun on their fields (Smoke in Cup and Dillon in Nationwide).

I have never seen a steering column do that. Holy shit that was amazing. Glad to see she walked away. God in Heaven how did she walk away? RFR really needs to rethink putting Stenhouse in the 17/6 next year. He's just not ready.

Aaa and there's your debris caution to allow the 1 to cool and get the 3 to victory lane. The fix is in!

He just seems to take one step forward and then 12 back. I cannot figure out why he's the one getting the Cup ride when Bayne is more than ready. Anyway, good for Kurt I guess.

I'm surprised Stenhouse didn't take all four of them out there. Dillon had to check up, and that's why he got spun.
