Great win for Hunter-Reay, looks like it's going to be a battle between him and Power for the championship. Hunter-reay has all the momentum but Power should be strong at the next few races if he can avoid any more mishaps. Great run for Kimball, really impressed with how he drove at the end, especially that sweet pass on Kanaan and Pagenaud at the same time. Should be great for PR too as he seems to be a media favorite. I saw more of the end of the race (I was switching back and forth between this race and the British GP with more focus on the F1 race) and it seemed like a really good aggressive, but clean race. Pretty anti-climactic ending though. it'll be interesting to see if Power can bounce back in Edmonton in two weeks. It was really clean, especially for Toronto. Kind of a mess at the end, but that usually happens in the middle of the race anyway. Power's been great at Edmonton the last three years, finishing 1st, 2nd, 1st since 2009.

So I was gone for a couple months and missed a few races with you guys...glad to see that we're still all racing.
Meanwhile...WHERE THE HELL DID HUNTER-REAY come from?!? He's always been one of my dark horse picks, but Andretti Autosport and he and really melded together.

He's always been one of my dark horse picks, but Andretti Autosport and he and really melded together. He's been on a roll since the second half of last season. First eight races of 2011 he finished 21st, 14th, 23rd, 18th, 23rd, 19th, 9th, 26th. Since then and including this year he's finished 8th, 3rd, 7th, 3rd, 1st, 10th, 8th, 24th, 5th, 3rd, 12th, 6th, 2nd, 27th, 7th, 21st, 1st, 1st, 1st. The stability of his ride at Andretti is probably a big help, as he has hopped around from team to team nearly every year, and I think at least once from team to team within the same year (twice if you count his Foyt ride at Indianapolis last year).

Yeah...I digs me some RHR having a decent ride, and three in a row? I'm still shocked that Penske or Ganassi never picked him up, but it's great to see AA back in the Big Three.

By the way, did anybody else see the F1 race on Sunday? I'm indifferent about Weber and Red Bull winning. I'm more disappointed that Ferrari's poor tire strategy cost Alonso another race. Oh well, at least Lotus is pulling in some real solid finishes. I love that Raikkonen/Grojean pairing. Also loving McLaren struggling.

I've got the F1 race sitting on the DVR. I'm a bit indifferent when they're on FOX, because the announce crew seems to be very rushed and forced to dumb down the race often.
I'll probably take a look at it tomorrow.

It will always be Sears Point to me. Same with Indy being the Brickyard.

Interesting. Let's see if his car doesn't crap out on him like it did at Indy this year. He certainly has the talent however.

Decent race in Edmonton, was hoping Sato would get Castroneves at the end. Really fast race, with no cautions to slow things down.
Some good runs in the race, with Power going from 17th to 3rd, Dixon taking 10th after losing power in his car early on, and Conway getting 11th after starting 23rd.
Hunter-Reay hangs on to the lead, with Castroneves moving into 2nd and Power going to 3rd, but only a couple points behind Castroneves.
Barring any of the drivers missing or failing to start a race, the top 19 drivers in the championship are still in the running, though it will likely come down to the top 7. Hunter-Reay, Castroneves, and Power are all in the best position as multiple race winners, with Dixon, Hinch, Kanaan, and Pagenaud needing a bit of help or a few wins to move up. Hard to count out Franchitti in 8th, but at 104 points behind it's looking less likely for him to win another championship. He won the big one though.
Rookie of the Year is most likely going to be Pagenaud overwhelmingly over Newgarden.
Chevrolet all but has the manufacturer's championship wrapped up, unless Honda wins the remaining races and de Silvestro can get her Lotus to finish ahead of every Chevy.

Well he's done in Nascar however AJ Foyt is still interested in bringing Allmandinger back to OWR. Not sure if thats a wise choice but Foyt's going to do what he wants.

INDYCAR may, however, choose to honor NASCAR's suspension. Just emailed Robin Miller about that...we'll see.

Bummer, I liked 'Dinger. Be nice if they would disclose what the positive was actually for, though.
And I do agree with what they were saying about it potentially being from a supplement... Talking to the guy that owns my local GNC... a lot of the new stuff has a TON of dodgy amphetamines in it, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was some NO Explode or something or other causing it.
