still don't know what to think about the non-caution for oil on the track for the last lap but that was f'ing amazing!

Got so swept up in the Olympics, I didn't even see that Ambrose won until I saw it on the TV news. Awesome!
That means he's in the Shootout and the All Star race again next season, too.

Justin Allgaier wins the Nationwide Series race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on a last-lap pass in a great finish.

Justin Allgaier wins the Nationwide Series race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on a last-lap pass in a great finish. It was pure madness. Somehow, Sam Hornish and Michael McDowell wrecked with 5 laps to go, fell all the way back, and STILL managed to finish top six. Hell, Hornish finished SECOND!

Was just glad to see someone treat Villeneuve like the little bitch he is when Allgaire moved him in the turn to win. Hopefully Penske pulls his head out of his ass and doesn't bring him back next season but that is unlikely.

I liked Allgaier's (perhaps intended) donut around Villeneuve's car, followed by JV's little bitch fest "I'm gonna park in front of you then speed off."

I still don't know what to think as a Hornish fan. from being pissed that he got spun out to coming all the way back and finished 2nd. and hell one more lap and Sam probably coulda won the thing. the 2nd place finish I'm happy for, just wished there could of been one more lap... Villeneuve not winning... so sad[/sarcasm] happy though for Justin Allgaier to get the win

Bizarre looking crash in pit lane there by Martin... Gets spun in there from the track, ends up hitting the only wall in the place not already covered by SAFER padding and destroys the rear end.

NASCAR needs to look at this wreck and make changes. If that car would've hit any farther up on the wall, Mark might not have walked away there.

And a blown engine for JJ sends this to a GWC finish. Can Dale Jr. complete the Michigan sweep?
Biffle takes Michigan!

NASCAR has slapped the shit out of Paul Menard and the 27 teamsNASCAR has suspended three members of the No. 27 Richard Childress Racing team for intentionally modifying the frame rails of the car Paul Menard drove to a ninth-place finish on Sunday at Michigan International Speedway. Crew chief Slugger Labbe, car chief Craig Smokstad and crew member Grant Hutchens were each suspended from NASCAR until Oct. 3 and placed on probation until Dec. 31. Labbe was also fined $100,000. The penalties mean the three will miss the next six NASCAR Sprint Cup races at Bristol, Atlanta, Richmond, Chicago, New Hampshire and Dover. Menard and owner Richard Childress have been penalized with the loss of 25 championship driver and owner points, respectively. NASCAR discovered the rules infractions this week during post-race inspection at the NASCAR Research and Development Center following last Sunday’s race at Michigan International Speedway. The No. 27 team was found to be in violation of Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4K (race equipment that has been previously certified or previously approved by NASCAR for use in an event, pursuant to sub-section 8-12, has been altered, modified, repaired or changed in any manner. Intentionally modifying frame rails for the purpose of deceiving NASCAR’s inspection gauges) of the 2012 NASCAR Rule Book. NASCAR uses a series of 10 low-frequency radio microchips known as RFID tags to make sure that each race-car chassis is dimensionally correct and not altered. Teams must bring chassis to the NASCAR R&D Center for certification prior to being raced. The RFID tags are also checked out at each race. In Sept. 2010, RCR was docked 150 points — the equivalent of 38 points in the current system — and crew chief Shane Wilson was ultimately fined $100,000 and suspended four races after then-RCR driver Clint Bowyer’s car flunked post-race inspection at New Hampshire. Given that NASCAR determined that this time intentionally modified the “frame rails for the purpose of deceiving NASCAR’s inspection gauges,” it’s perhaps surprising that the penalties issued this time were less than those in 2010. “We’re going to appeal it,” team owner Richard Childress told FOXSports.com “That’s all I’m going to say right now.”

Been a fun race so far. Not as good as Bristol Classic but much better than New Bristol.

Think Smoke wasn't happy with Kenseth?

Think Smoke wasn't happy with Kenseth? Smoke overdrove turn one. Kenseth overdrove turn three. Off four, Stewart was driving down into Kenseth which caused simultaneous loose cars. The helmet toss: 9.5/10.

Think Smoke wasn't happy with Kenseth? That shot from Kenseth's car as Smoke threw his helmet was great.
