Surprised there wasn't a thread on this yet. Good for him.
It probably won't happen, but I hope it leads to the debut of THE LUGERMETER!!!
"You see, Lex Loogie was the longest reigning United States campeone of all the times... he had that belt on a-so tight, he couldn't get his t-shirt off when it was time for a match..."

I think you mean the MVP-a-Meter If they only counted the WWE history of the belt, then yes. However, since they recognise the WCW history of the belt as part of the WWE continuity, it's Luger.

I loved when Santino won the IC Belt the second time.
...This one leaves me feeling sad.

It would go like: Put up the LUG-A-METER! Now Lex Loogie was champyan for *insert lentgh of reign* weeks-a. And I, Santino Marella, have been champ-yan for 3 days-a.

I still maintain that he'll be champ for 1 4 days. Agreed.... Johnny Ace was call for a rematch and Swagger gets it back via outside interference from either himself or Ziggler.

First Ryder now Santino. I think this is a good indication that the U.S. title pretty means dick compared to what it used to mean.

Not gonna lie, I marked out when he won the belt. After a few months of been indifferent to Santino, I've recently started warming up to him some more.

First Ryder now Santino. I think this is a good indication that the U.S. title pretty means dick compared to what it used to mean. You honestly can't be saying that Ryder's reign hurt the US title can you? He spent months chasing one of the most solidly built champions in years and, eventually, beat him. After he had the belt he only dropped it because he was kayfabe hurt and even then it took just about everything Swagger had in his arsenal to win. The only way Ryder's run with the belt hurt the belt is that it ended with Swagger holding the title.

The only way Ryder's run with the belt hurt the belt is that it ended with Swagger holding the title. Ryder was treated as little more than a joke until he starts his crappy internet show, then people like him and of a sudden he's US champion. Saying the US title is "Solidly built" is a bit much. It was just sort of a waist decoration for Dolph Ziggler for about six months, then yay Ryder wins it and we're supposed to pretend it means something again.

Santino is the man! Guy can pop a crowd like no one's business!
This is obviously going to lead to something in the grand scheme that is Team Ace vs. Team Long at Mania, but it gave Santino and the fans a feel-good moment!
I watch RAW at my Mom's every week since the new year and she was laughing very hard at his celebration. Guy appeals to almost all.

My reaction: The guy works hard, over as f***, got an interesting charater and is a fresh face holding the title. I have nothing wrong with this at all. It will be excellent if he brings back any sort of meter, but I wont ask for too much
