Are you saying that you would be completely supportive of CM Punk or Daniel Bryan or Dolph Ziggler retiring tomorrow because they found satisfaction with their lives and no longer wanted to damage their bodies? Of course I would be completely supportive. The fact that you would even pose that question in that way shows a really ugly side of fans, the entitlement. These guys are entertainers, if they want my viewership, they need to entertain me, and for each person they have to entertain them and that's how they make a living, but if they wish to go into another genre to entertain, or if they wish to retire, they're not obligated to the fans to stick around, especially if it means potentially getting hurt. People mentioned Edge and that's a great example but the Rock as far as we know was never at that kind of risk. He left as far as I can tell because he wanted to be a movie star, and really good for him. I harbor no ill will for him leaving and going off to do that, even though I'm fairly certain I've never watched a film he was in with exception to the Mummy 2.

I'd rather have everyone retire like Edge; not completely broken down, and on their own terms. And by "not completely broken down" you mean one bad bump short of being crippled, and "on their own terms" you mean "if you don't retire now you could end up in a wheelchair"? Granted, there's worse examples than Edge, but I'd hardly say being forced to retire due to injury is one of the better ones.
