Just to explain why I've had a tough time deciding. The 1990 one is a short one, more haha, with how everything turned out. The one from 98 is a tad more interesting. But I guess I can save that one til next year lol

Latest rumour about the egg at Survivor Series has Mark Calaway coming out and working as the Eggman. Doubtful, since Calaway will apparently work with Hogan and get a super push. I just can't picture Hulk Hogan and the Eggman.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps it would've been better if he was The Walrus?

I remember the rumor being Bundy to help Earthquake counter the Tugboat. If this were true, we could have gotten our Natural Disasters 10 months earlier.

I dunno, I've always heard Vince had the Undertaker gimmick in mind, or at least that of an old style western type big guy with the trenchoat and all, and Mark Callaway fit the bill perfectly. I think vince just did this for the kids

- Rumoured to be coming to the WWF for TV after the PPV are Hercules Hernandez (as a gang member enemy of Razor Ramon; can you imagine two guys with the fake accents, Chico? Razor supposedly wants to take a little time off in the new year, leading to the guess that this enemy would put him out), Ginsei Shinzaki (rumoured for a long time now, so it's hard to say how strongly we should believe this. Speaking of Shinzaki, a while ago I watched the Shinzaki vs. Great Sasuke match from 04/29/94; this was a very good match, but not quite worthy of the raves that Meltzer very slowly heaped upon it over many weeks, IMO) to feud with Undertaker, Bruiser Bedlam (from SMW, formerly WWF jobber Johnny K-9), and Dan Kroffat & Doug Furnas (it's also been rumoured that WCW was interested in them).
----------------------------------------------
I know the writing style is hard to understand, that's not my fault. But the basic newz to the story is the possibility of a Razor Ramon/Hercules (under a new character) feud and an Undertaker/Hakushi feud.

Razor/Hercules would have been poor to average. What condition was Herc in at this stage?

They had a run with the IWGP tag titles.

They do love their big muscle bound American tag teams over there! The pair coming in as a tag would have been ok. I don`t imagine Herc vs Razor would have been much to see.

Yeah, I don't quite get why Scott Norton has never graced a WWE ring.

- Observer reports that Chris Benoit wasn't signed by WCW after all. There ends rumours of a Brian Pillman & Chris Benoit tag team.
--------------------------------------------
Short and sweet but you get the drift. We all know that Benoit did actually work for WCW in 93 but a tag team with Brian Pillman didn't happen. Instead we got The Hollywood Blondes. But just imagine if Austin had stayed as a singles wrestler and we got the tandem of Brian Pillman and Chris Benoit.

Pillman and Benoit would have been good, but Pillman probably would have come up with a different gimmick for the less charismatic, not blonde Benoit.
Interestingly though, in Austin`s book he mentions that he was prepared for a singles push, with Raven (as Scotty Flamingo) and Pillman pairing, but it got switched at the last minute. So Austin would have likely ended up on a similar level to that of Raven.
Interesting how these little changes could have influenced such big things in the industry.

Since this isn't really discussing Wrestlecrap, well outside of the whole Eggman thing, I think I may move this to the (w)rest section to try and generate some more response.

Both Curt Hennig & Rick Rude appeared on camera at the WCW tapings that air in the next couple of weeks.
