Don't think we've seen the last of Aang's influence here; Korra determines that Aang must've been trying to warn her about Tarlokk...and then Tarlokk is neutralized moments later by A BLOODBENDING RESISTANT AMON, HOLY CRIMINY.
More likely, Aang has a warning about Amon, given that he is now confirmed as the one true threat.
They made bloodbending genuinely creepy here, very well done.
Wasn't keen on the overt shipping nonsense. Really wish there wasn't much of that in this series, but then I'm sure the fanbase would whine if there wasn't enough. Silly.

Yeah, I don't mind shipping, but I really could've done without all the Mako/Korra/Asami stuff. Even though Aang/Katara was obviously set up from the first episode of Last Airbender (which made all the shipping wars amongst the fandom silly), the viewer didn't have to be reminded of it every time the two characters were on-screen.

It's nothing against shipping, per se, but with only 12 episodes this season and a plot that has so many moving parts, it just grinds the pace down so badly here. Mako, Asami, Bolin...all characters with fun potential on their own, yet they only seem to be around for shipping purposes. If that's the case, then I'd rather they simplify the romance angle. By the by, again, given how Aang's warning seems to be more about Amon than Tarlokk (or so I'm choosing to believe), I was hoping that Korra would snap awake, say "Aang...you were trying to warn me about Tarlokk...", only to have Aang's spirit just pop into the picture going "NO! WRONG! WRONG WRONG WRONG! ...Oh, hi Korra."

I freaking called Tarlok being Yakone's descendant! Also, loved the call backs to the first series in the flashback sequences. Plus, Amon was boss in this episode, shrugging off bloodbending like it wasn't anything more than a nuisance to him.

I haven't been keeping tabs on this as much as others, but he seems way too god damn overpowerful and all-threatning. And I usually root for the villains.

I think, it's possible that at the end of the Season,Amon takes away Korra bending, but she learns a way to recover it back?Yeh i know sound silly, but i dont want this to end!

I forgot to even mention how badass Aang looked chasing down Yakone, riding on that giant Air Scooter that was causing massive damage when he road up the side of the buildings and then those air blades? Sweet.
Weird how when he energybended Yakone that they didn't do that colorful battle of energies.......

While I'm sad that Tarrlok's done already, Amon continues to compel. Very rare that I run into an antagonist with his presence and competence in a television show these days.

Sweet. Weird how when he energybended Yakone that they didn't do that colorful battle of energies....... Probably just for the sake of time, plus maybe Aang got better at it and didn't need to bother with the spiritual tug-of-war from before. Though one touch I liked is that he did it the same way he did on Ozai, which suggests that Amon is indeed doing something else given he doesn't touch their heart.

I love this week's episode. One of my favorites this season. Bolin is just plain awesome. He has the Sokka quality to him yet seems like a totally different person and not a Sokka 2.0. He's my fav besides Korra obviously. It was a bit obvious the Tarrlok was related to Yakone the moment he used blood blending last week. The episode was still amazing though. Glad to see Aang, Sooka & Toph though I was wondering where the hell was Katara lol. Was she a stay at home mom or something?

Most likely scenario is the busy with kids thing, though.

Yeah, most likely Aang wouldn't be too comfortable bringing his family around a bloodbender who's supposed to be able to attack at any time of day.

I love how Toph still called Aang "Twinkletoes." And Amon's a bad motherf***er. When I saw that the bloodbending wasn't affecting him I thought "What the hell is this guy??"Two seconds later, Tarlokk: What are you?"EXACTLY!!!"

Concerning one of the upcoming episodes: {Spoiler}If I recall correctly episode 11, "Skeletons in the Closet" (or something like that phrase), is the one that Dante Basco tweeted about going in to record for a number of months ago. I don't expect Dante to play a mid-80's Zuko, but I have a feeling we're either getting another flashback or, more likely in my opinion, some of Zuko's family. Again, if I remember right, I THINK I recall that he said he WASN'T playing Zuko here.

And if you go by the episode title, maybe the FN royal family will sweep under the rug Azula's excistence and what happened to her.
They can't hide Ozai, Azulon, and Sozin from the history books, but maybe they can hide Azula from history. And Zuko's grandson finds out he had a crazy great aunt.

I was re-watching the first episode a couple of minutes ago and got to thinking:
How did Tenzin even get a flying Bison? I'm pretty sure Appa was the only one left. Was he not? He was a male flying bison so... idk just something that I found weird lol.
Sorry if this was posted before or something. It just crossed my mind right now lol
EDIT: According to an Avatar Wiki it said "Appa was believed to be the last of the flying bison, but after the Hundred Year War, Aang discovered a new herd in his adventures. Currently, a colony of healthy bison reside on Air Temple Island." so I guess he wasn't the only one.

I have a theory that Amon's suit gives him some kind of resistance. He was clearly not fully immune, as he stalls before he powers forward. I also liked that Korra getting away was clearly not in his plan.
I love Amon and all, but if they make him all-knowing, it starts to feel like bullshit, so even a minor mistake like this helps it stay fresher.
I also did not mind the shipping. I rarely do.

There's officially a second season now, though, so who knows if we'll be hearing more tidbits from the past? Even if we don't there, we still have the graphic novels based on the original series coming out now...damn, its fun to be a fan of this series these days.
