As of now, Amon is the most intimidating figure seen yet in the Avatar universe. Fantastic job with him. His "Greater Plan" is in place, now we're going to have to learn what it is .... EDIT: by the by, was I the only one half-expecting Korra's eyes to start glowing once Amon reached towards her? Interesting that we haven't seen the Avatar State yet. Perhaps these two things are connected? Obviously Amon wants to do more than just shut off individual benders. An out of control Avatar state in the middle of Republic City would sure do a lot to rally his cause.

interesting how they wrote the love triangle there. I figured it was going to be something slightly hinted at in little moments throughout the season, but they used like ten episodes worth of tension for one storyline, as if to say "let's just get this all out of the way now so we can focus on the major plot points".

Thought the episode was good, but out of place. Seemed weird that after everything last week Amon wasn't even mentioned.

It was a decent episode, but easily the weakest of the season so far.
One thing I didn't like about this episode is it kinda made Korra and Mako look like jerks.
Granted they did save face at the end of the episode though.
One thing's for certain, the shippers will have a field day with this episode.

Well they want this to be different fromt he original series, this is. This characters don't pressy around the obvious, when it comes to mind. It took Aang two and half seasons to make a move on Katara.
I like that, just express your feelings.
I have a bad feeling, I hope they don't do this again, it would be too easy and convient, by the way they will resolve this Korra x Mako x Asami love traingle is for Asami to die. When Asami said she felt save around Mako, that sounded one of those kiss of death lines that mean the character will die.
And the women from Tenzin's past, you think it is Lin. Might explain why she hates Korra so much, the Avatar family broke her heart, so take it out on poor Korra.

interesting how they wrote the love triangle there. I figured it was going to be something slightly hinted at in little moments throughout the season, but they used like ten episodes worth of tension for one storyline, as if to say "let's just get this all out of the way now so we can focus on the major plot points". Indeed, plus it worked well given that the main characters are older in this series; preferred it this way to having stuff drawn out for too long. Once again, I keep getting struck by the quality of the voice acting. It's really a cut above, they've got something special going on. And yes, first thing I thought upon hearing Korra's talk with the girls was "Uh oh...looks like Tenzin broke a Beifong's heart. Oops." Ha, now that I think of it: if it does turn out that's who Tenzin was with at first, it canonically eliminates even the outside possibility, as some shippers liked imagining, that Toph and Sokka wound up together; in that case, they'd be cousins. Just writing that made me so very, very glad that those shipping wars ended so long ago now and that most shipping is now tongue-in-cheek, and also makes me glad that they decided to knock out most of that stuff in this episode today for the current series. EDIT: By the by, overall presentation of this episode? Soooo not kid friendly, haha. First off, Tahno, the Wolfbats' captain, has a definite "Johnny Depp in a Tim Burton movie" vibe going, and his "private lessons" line to Korra sounded dirty as all get out. Skeevy. Secondly, Mako carrying Bolin home, they straight-up played him as drunk on noodles. Awesome stuff.

Am I the only who thought Tahno screams like a girl. Pabu made him scream like a little girl.
I think next episode is going to save that bastard Tahno from losing his bending. Sometimes heros have to help people they don't like.

Being Bolin is suffering
It's funny that I can't decide if this is played up for laughs, or just straight up cruel.

Big thing I liked with the whole "let's get all the shipping drama out of the way" episode: no character was 100% in the right about anything, but they weren't being awful people, either. Too often stuff like what they tried to show gets all ham-fisted when they try to depict it in a movie or TV show.
Even Bolin, who was probably the most innocent victim in the whole thing, still committed the cardinal sin of putting the girl on a pedestal. Nothing good ever comes of that. Poor fella.
Gotta admit, though; I'm no shipper, but Bolin and Korra in a burping contest? There's something I can get behind.

That girly run was so incredbly funny,i lost it when i saw. And Bolin is that adorable character everyone sympathizes with.Even if things rarely works to him. i want a fire Ferret for myself, and i want it now! Just settle for one of these.... Is it legal to have one ?If it is,i want!

I finally got around to watching this. This was a fantastic episode. It felt like an hour, not in tedium, but because they managed their time so wisely.
So much character development, fun action scenes, and an additional antagonist. Very fun episode.
