Why didn't Kelly Kelly get this type of defense when she did a more convincing job of attacking Beth Phoenix and catching her by surprise? Because Kelly Kelly's acting at the time was hilariously bad. Plus it made no sense for her to just flip out like that and attack Beth. Not to mention, she's suppose to be the face in all that. Whereas both AJ and Natalya sold the beating very well, and it all made sense in the context of the storyline with AJ and Bryan. |

She lost the title to Beth the night before after Nattie hit her in the head with a microphone. Isn't that reason enough? |

Suspension of disbelief needs to be used a lot in wrestling, the same reason why I have no trouble with Rey defeating heavyweights as it is in a wrestling ring

Oh my gosh, STOP TALKING ABOUT MUSCULAR GUYS TAKING OUT MUSCULAR GUYS. I already explained why that's not relevant to the point I'm making.
On AJ busting Natalya open, we don't know she busted her hard or if that was caused by friction, i.e. her nails or boots. You can cut someone open by scratching at them, but someone with no muscle on their frame beating up a big and powerful person? Lolwut?
Horrible misuse of AJ by the booking squad.

AJ with the fact that the "love of her life just stomped all over her heart" and verbally abused her before this match and Kelly, with the fact that her hard-won Divas Championship was taken away from her, not by losing fair and square to Beth but due to outside interference by Natalya. So in both cases, each Diva was justified in taking out their anger and frustrations out on someone. The difference is that Kelly's acting was very inconsistent. When Kelly made her entrance she was all smiles and happy, then suddenly when the match started she went all berserker out of nowhere. Whereas with AJ, she was basically in a catatonic state and was emotionally frazzled to start with, so her going berserk and snapping was expected. |

Just watched the segment.
I have no idea what the problem is. I guess some of you have never seen adreniline and rage take over. AJ snapped and caught a sympathetic Natalya by surprise.
I thought AJ's reaction going up the ramp was fantastic by the way

She took her by surprise, though. It wasn't a straight match or anything, and if you're surprised, in a corner and someone is punching lumps out of you in a Wolverine Berserker rage, you're going to be hurting. I thought that whole segment was really well done, actually. |

Does that mean she can't throw a few good punches to take someone bigger out? Hell no. There are some skinny ass kickers out there. She took a shot when Natalya wasn't ready and then was unrelentless with her crazed attack. I mean, if Natalya had been ready to fight and AJ just leap on her and beat her down that might have been hard to swallow, but the whole thing played out like she caught her by surprise and that window of opportunity led to a (believable) beatdown. Natalya wasn't even knocked out at the end, she was just groggy. Everywhere else I've read loved the segment (even places that don't generally like diva segments). I wouldn't call it a misuse of her by any means. It's probably one of the best segments she's been in IMO.
