That could be the other reason why this angle is working for me other than it's going nowhere. The technicos are coming off unself aware on a staggering level. I just can't get behind a group of people who claim the enemy are a bunch of clowns and scrubs when THEY KEEP GETTING BEAT BY THEM! Hey, it worked for the Colony when they were feuding with Vin. Kinda off-topic, but I think it was that fued that cemented my support for Rudoism. Because to me, it was Vin, a guy who had lost everything and given extreme bias and yet still went on, against the Colony, who relied on the number games, and really were just a bunch of gutless cowards. There would be more instances, but that's neither here nor there,

Even if the tecnicos were doing better against GEKIDO, I'd still find it hard to get behind people who are like "Oh, you're those guys who were out of shape and who we used to laugh at all the time! You're such losers, ahahahaha!"
Not exactly being a star. And yeah, I know that they're cutting promos on guys who are their enemies, but going by Jig's blog they were bullying and ridiculing the Swarm long before those three guys did anything to provoke it.

There would be more instances, but that's neither here nor there, Yeah, I mean, yes, Vin blackmailed Pantera & Jorge, which we never did find out with what, and lied about who he was. But clearly a part of him wanted to be apart of CHIKARA so badly he'd do anything. Guy even talked about, which Hero & Quack both confirmed as fact in kayfabe, that he was a trainee at the Factory. That he worked hard, trained hard and that he eventually left when he never got called up. Quack's only defense was that he didn't have anything for him yet and that Vin got impatient. Vin saw it as a slight that other guys got called up before him when he was there longer. Also they hinted it was partially due to Vin's connection to Hero and that after the KoW formed, Quack was leery to let him on shows. Then he goes under a mask and he tries to win the fans over only for them to tell him to, in some cases literally, go die. But he never complains and keeps trying to work hard to become something & get the fans behind him. Then he gets unmasked, exposed as a fake, gets kicked out of the locker room despite how much hard work he's done. Nearly losing everything he had worked for. Was Vin a bit of a jerk? Yeah but like you said, Amigo, I felt his story a far more compelling one than, say, Worker Ant, who mocked him & got his butt kicked & then would scoff after the fact. On the topic of the Swarm, yeah, I agree, Socko. I think you nailed the issue on the head. Even Quack sounds like he was insulting & mocking these guys before they ever did anything to deserve it. Hell, before the Swarm even arrived Quack & Jig were using them as a butt to their inside jokes years after these guys had been around. It just gives off major douche chills.

In-character, if Quackenbush, a guy who has worked extensivley with luchadores for years, couldn't tell Equinox wasn't one of them, even if the later part of his run when he ditched the top of his outfit, then really, wouldn't he deserve to be scammed? After all, remember the late, great W.C. Fields line:" "A sucker is born every minute".

Yeah, I think Quackenbush was too blinded by his faboy'ing over Pantera & Jorge and their endorsements of Equinox to tell. Seeing as, for a while there, it seemed like Quackenbush was to Jorge as Jigsaw is now to him.

The thing is, Vin, you can almost justify, because he IMMEDIATELY started living down to everyone's expectations. He got treated like a scumbag, so he acted exactly like a scumbag. You could say he retroactively deserved his vitriol. The GEKIDO(or, at least the Swarm, I don't think 17 and Shard are in the same boat), though....it kinda just sounds like the tecnicos are being jerks to them for no real reason.

*Reads all this back* .....Well, one thing you can say for Chikara, no matter what. It certainly lends itself to a deeper analysis than your average wrestling promotion.

PT Barnum said "There's a sucker born every minute."
WC Fields had a movie called "Never Give A Sucker An Even Break".
Sorry, it's a reflex.

Actually, I think that quote works better in that situation, come to think of it.

"It's Not Happening" - LOL. Tickets go on sale tomorrow in Easton, there will be the 5th Annual Fan Conclave as a part of the festivities, and the first team will be announced LIVE during "Chikarasaurus Rex: How to Hatch a Dinosaur" on iPPV. I expect nothing but flat-out disappointment from everybody here when the trio is announced. Because I'm sure it will be. ;D

I hope they don't announce someone like The Colony. Because, duh. Announce one of the gest teams, if there is one.

So....The Vulture Squad never happened? That's exactly what I was going to post. It not only rings a little hollow for the guy who jumped from CHIKARA to be saying this but to say that too. As if he never did turn on Quack in the first place. Also, again, I say his spiel is sounding rudo heavy. Speaking of this: Derek Sabato @dereksabato Hey @jigsawchikara you're a joke. Remember when you weren't welcome back into @chikarapro locker room until you put your mask on? #hypocrite Jigsaw @jigsawchikara @dereksabato a hypocrite? Really? I think you missed the point. But you would know nothing of a training program. Can you even do 1 pushup? Derek Sabato @dereksabato @jigsawchikara you're the one who deserted him before. I wonder why @_Gekido_ thinks you'll do it again. #hypocrite Derek Sabato @dereksabato @jigsawchikara I lift 12 to 16 ounces on a regular basis. #beermuscles Jigsaw @jigsawchikara @dereksabato I was there when he needed me the most. I never turned my back on him or #CHIKARA. My time away was cleared & ok'd w/ the brass Derek Sabato @dereksabato #transform #transform #transform #transform @jigsawchikara

Yeah, so CHIKARA just released these on Facebook already. Does this mean SMV could be working overtime this weekend? Been awhile (C-Rex last year I think) since we had a 24-hour release window for a show(s).

God, as weird as it would be to watch, they BETTER turn Jigsaw heel off of this, because he's acting like a grade A prick. Him, and Quack, and Green Ant... Let's talk about Green Ant for a sec. Green Ant says that he's seen tons of people drop out of CWF and that it doesn't matter if they do it after a week, two weeks, a month, a year, that he sees them all the same. That he doesn't respect them. Well, if what people are telling me about how tough it is to train to be a wrestler is true, then I'm sure that the majority of Chikara fans would not be able to stick it out for a year, perhaps not even a month. Does that mean Green Ant wouldn't respect most of the Chikarmy? Or is it just the ones who try and find they bit off more than they can chew that he doesn't respect? And if so, why is that? Don't they deserve credit for at least trying? And what's more, sometimes people just have to quit for health reasons. One famous example being Matt Cappotelli. I also believe Andrew Is Good from this board said he had begun training and then some kind of health problem proved too much of an obstacle. *sigh* It seems to me that this feud--when it comes to the Swarm, anyway--is between the vets who used to look down on and ridicule and push around the students who weren't very good at first, and those same students who all took a level in badass and are back partly because they hold a grudge. It also seems to me that--barring a Jigsaw heel turn, or a Quack heel turn, or a Green Ant heel turn--we are meant to be 100% behind all the tecnicos. God knows that everybody on 101 is, except for me and djm and maybe one or two other people. I don't even think I want to buy the iPPV at this point. Back when I first became a wrestling fan in the Attitude Era, I thought about maybe becoming a wrestler. It wasn't anything serious, any more than dreams of becoming a rock star are serious for most people, but still. Anyway, years later I started hearing these stories about what it was like for rookies in the business, how they were treated, and thought "Damn, I'm glad I never pursued that!" And it's like, this storyline seems to be not only confirming all of what I heard, but it also seems to be hammering home the message "It's perfectly fine to treat rookies or students that way, and anybody who says different or who says the business shouldn't be that way is full of s***."
