They should just show Layla naked for the whole two hours I'd watch that.

They've been rotating which of the secondary main event faces shows up in the top-of-the-second-hour segment for a while now, with most of them bringing in middling ratings. Now, unlike Punk or Orton or Sheamus, they finally get a massive boost from... Big Show.
God damnit.

Wow. I thought that big show segment was terrible, so what do I know? Now the Cena Make A Wish thing isn't surprising, didn't they show that on Raw the week before and on Smackdown? I know they want to promote good news, but just give the viewer a break from recycled segments. Weird the punk/marella vs rhodes/bryan dropped viewership... maybe viewers checked into the first segment for the latest angle and then dropped out?

Sad? Yes. Surprising? No Weird the punk/marella vs rhodes/bryan dropped viewership... maybe viewers checked into the first segment for the latest angle and then dropped out? Pretty much, this happened during the build to Elimination Chamber where Triple H cutting a 20 minute promo to initially refuse Taker's challenge did the best rating of the night, because people wanted to see his answer, and the following segment (Big Show vs Daniel Bryan which focused on Bryan's treatment of AJ) lost almost a million viewers.

The 2 Laurinaitis segments were the only segments that didn't do horrible numbers. ;D
Edit: Forgot the opening did well too. And all of those were talking segments ;D

okay how the hell do they calculate this crap? I do know that Neilson families are specific families with the box mean to represent a large group. How do they know the specific ages and genders of the viewers?

How do they know the specific ages and genders of the viewers? Each person in the house is given either their own user profile that they must sign in with before watching TV or their own notebook where they write what shows they watch.

Also he really does a great job getting sympathy from the crowd.

And all of those were talking segments ;D Well those are usually the time slots that do the best in the ratings. The opening, top of the hour, and the closing/overrun. And they purposely put those segments in at that time because they're what the WWE wants you to focus on the most. Title matches are basically filler these days.

So, is it safe to say that Bryan and Punk are, as people (myself included) like to describe Orton as, ratings poison? The guys just plain turn off viewers.

Punk's been placed in slots that usually drop in ratings anyway, like the segment after the opening. And for the most part Bryan was able to keep Smackdown ratings at the same viewers as Henry when he was champion. In Orton's case though, the overall ratings for the entire show seem to drop once he becomes champion. And when he loses the title, the ratings jump back up almost immediately.

I guess we need more 20 minute firing segments then. Please do Hornswoggle next.

Not until they are the main focus of the shows, IMO. Right now they are being treated as bit players with no reason to care about them or what they do.

Does anyone else have a feeling Johnny may win the WWE title?

At least we'll never have to see that "please like John Cena, he's great!" video again.

At least we'll never have to see that "please like John Cena, he's great!" video again. If the return of Stand Up for WWE is true, then expect to see similar videos every single week, on every single show.

It was possibly the worst RAW of the year. I hate that they think that Cena/Funkman is going to sell...

I feel like I'm totally out of step with most WWE viewers. The segments I hated more than almost anything in years were huge ratings draws.
