I sadly still have money on Michael Bay continuing to assrape the franchise with a 4th film. Yeah assrape is a rational reaction for a movieTransformers/Nostalgia is very SRS BSNS. But could we really, really stop using "rape" to describe adaptations and remakes? Someone making a movie you don't like is in no way equal to being sexually assaulted/forced into sex against your will.

As far as possible villains for a fourth installment go, neither Unicron nor Galvatron were ever explored. On top of that, Starscream was not definitively killed either (Megatron showed that losing half your head was not necessarily fatal) nor does that discount the whole "immortal spark" gimmick that the G1 Starscream had (it is the reason he became a ghost, could take over bodies by overriding others less powerful sparks, and the reason why Rampage of the Beast Wars was supposed to be a big deal (he was the results of a scientific experiment to try to mimic Starscream's spark).
Hell, imagine a three way race where Galvatron arrives as Unicron's herald to try to take over the Decepticons while an increasingly more powerful Starscream learns to harness the power of his mutant spark to become nigh immortal (and presumably more insane as time goes on). To be honest, I was hoping for a Decepticon civil war in this movie when they said that Shockwave was going to be the new villain. I wanted him to try to wrestle the reigns of the Decepticon leadership from the injured Megatron. Sure, we sort of got that with Sentinel Prime and got a heel turn on top of it to boot, but still.

Hell, you could even have Megs being resurrected as Galvatron, much like in the '86 movie. Plus Hot Rodimus could show up to join the fun.
Oh, and by the by, is it just me, or did that hour-long battle have moments of awesome for damn near everyone?

Well, this was a movie that exists. It managed to have no character at all, and no substance, and also no identity.

I'm thinking for the fourth movie a different Megatron from the future that transforms into a dragon travels back in time to unite the remnants of the Decepticons to kill the Autobots of the past before they evolve into newer, stronger forms (Maximals). Can anybody guess where I'm going with this?

Cool. Even if it doesn't end up passing how much ROTF made, it doesn't look like DOTM is going to do too shabby at all. And I will definitely be picking this up on DVD the day it is released.

I just watched Transformers 3 and wow, I was very impressed. I am one of the few that enjoyed ROTF, however, this one just slays previous film by a large margin. {Spoiler}I definitely choked up when it appeared that the Decepticons destroyed the Autobots, when Prime returned to save Sam and Epps, and of course when Sam thought Bumblebee was about to bite the dust. My only gripe is that they need to remove the human element and focus on the robots. I wanted to see more robot vs. robot action, not humans interfering with the battle.

Heh, yeah, same here on the choking up bit. My eyes got a little wet as Ironhide died, too.
I've been digging the human element, though. I love seeing humans being capable of aiding the Autobots, especially when it comes to the soldiers; it's almost like seeing a GI Joe/Transformers cross-over in every film, and that's not a bad thing in my opinion.

Word on the street is that with the way things are going, if it doesn't get completely raped by Harry Potter next week, DOTM has a chance of cracking a billion worldwide.

Saw it last night.
It was alot better than the last one i'll give it that, but i felt the end fight dragged on abit longer than it needed to.
7/10 = Not bad but wasnt amazing in my view.

Heh, yeah, same here on the choking up bit. My eyes got a little wet as Ironhide died, too. I thought Sam was going to be able to find something to help out Bumblebee. As for Ironhide, his death made sense with Prime Sentinel killed him, compared to Jazz's death. Jazz's death just seemed random. I really liked this movie, and I thought it was one of the better ones (I kinda think it was the best).

Saw the film last night. It's better than ROTF thankfully and the action at the end is really good. However that's about it, I have nothing else nice to say about this film.

Awesome. Awesome awesome awesome. And to think, at one point people were exclaiming that the public was tired of this franchise.

I would love to see a sequel and have them explore more storylines, more autobots, and of course new decepticons. One of the aspects that kind of disappointed me a little was: {Spoiler}Cybertron being destroyed. I felt it should've destroyed a good portion of the Earth and while the Autobots still prevail, it opens the door for maybe turning Megatron into Galvatron, other decepticons, and of course Unicron. Also I'd love for them to introduce the Dinobots and also have a Transformers film that doesn't focus on the humans so much.
