Darnit, Crawford. Fine, go play with the crappy Timberwolves and their terrible owner. And you can watch as Indy makes it far into the playoffs while your team sits at home. Hmm. The Pacers lose out on both Mayo and Crawford, and one of their bargaining pieces (McRoberts) signs with the Lakers. I'm curious as to where they go from here/who they go after next. They need another guard who can create his own shot.

The Mavericks are in position to have as much as $20-$25 million in salary cap space next summer, when they are expected to make a bid for Deron Williams.

Have to say, great pick up for the Lakers. I always thought McBob was going places, he has a lot of potential. Looking at available SG's that can make their own shot...the Pacers could always sign Arenas. Or if you're less crazy they could try and snatch Nick Young from the Wizards.

The Wolves have traded F Lazar Hayward to the Thunder for two second-round picks.
Jamal Crawford has reportedly narrowed his list of acceptable teams to three: The Knicks, Blazers and Kings.

Lazar Hayward is....interesting. But it is a needed move because Durant was literally the only Small Forward on the team. So now we have backup in that position.

Also, Kendrick Perkins apparently dropped a good amount of weight in the offseason. He reported to training camp 31 pounds lighter.

Starting a new thing on NBA thread stuff until the season starts- The Starting 5.
I will ask 5 questions to a fan of a team on here and get their thoughts on last season and this upcoming season.
Who wants to be the first one up?

5 questions for rehab and his Bulls:
1. Last year, the Bulls shocked many with their ascent from .500 and barely getting the last playoff spot to the best record in the league. What was the main reason, in your opinion, they did so well?
2. When we last saw Chicago, they were losing to Miami in the East Finals. This surprised me, given that it was a deep Bulls team against what was perceived as a three-man show. Why was Chicago unable to advance to the NBA Finals?
3. Derrick Rose won the MVP last year. How did he become this good this fast? More specifically, what makes him one of the league's elite players?
4. If the Bulls added (blank player), it could put them over the top.
5. What are your expectations for the Bulls this year?

5 questions for Tyfo:
1. Last year, the Mavericks finally scaled the mountain and won the NBA title. In your mind, what and why did they do so?
2. Fill in the blank- the player that contributed the most to this title not named Dirk was (blank).
3. So, just how did Dallas managed to spoil the media's wet dream teams this postseason (I.e. The Lakers and Heat)?
4. What did Dirk do last year so differently to get the team all the way to the top compared to 2006 and 2007?
5. What are your expectations this year?

Apparently the Lakers are back in the Paul hunt.
I was super excited for this free agent frenzy that was going to come, but the Howard/Paul stuff has just made it annoying. Either make a trade or shut up and play. Especially Howard.

This is more annoying than LeBron's Decision.
At least he was the only one that had a say in where he went.
