Coincidentally, "Karma" is also the stage name of one of the strippers Kobe was f***ing behind his wife's back. The irony....

Hearing about this Kobe divorce news- what's prenup? Short for prenuptial agreement. Long story short, it's a magic piece of paper that rich people usually use to save their ass if their marriage goes south. Everything is decided before the marriage happens. Any issues of money, property, and stuff like that is hammered out then, so that if the marriage tanks, the more loaded spouse doesn't have to pay out the ass. Kobe, ya dun goofed.

I like the Bulls' chances of having the best record in the league again. Basically they swap Rip in for Bogans and lost Kurt Thomas. Not too many other teams will run a legit 10 deep, which will be crucial. That being said, with so many shallower and/or older Eastern Conference teams, there might be a bit of coasting into the playoffs and worrying more about getting there healthy than earning a higher seed and home court. Do the Heat really care about going into anyone else's building for a Game 7? I don't think so.
It'll be interesting to see how teams with big turnover to their rosters and coaching staffs adjust. How quick will a team be able to play a full 48 minutes? The early season and late season are where Chicago should steal some wins: early because of continuity, late because of depth. But just like any season, ultimately, all you need is to make the playoffs to make some noise.

The good thing about this shortened season is that there will be no throw away games. Compared to an 82 game season you could tell certain teams were tired, injured, and were going through the motions in order to maintain their players health.
Now this season belongs to anyone and the weakest of teams can actually put up a fight. It's going to be an interesting one to say the least.

I think if I was up on rape charges when I was cheating on my wife, AND I had no pre-nup I'd fricking stop.

Playoff predictions
West
1. Thunder 2. Mavs 3. Lakers 4. Grizzlies 5. Clippers 6. Spurs 7. Suns 8. Nuggets
East
1. Heat 2. Bulls 3. Knicks 4. Celtics 5. Nets 6. Hawks 7. Magic 8. Pacers
Conference Finals
Thunder over Lakers Bulls over Nets
NBA Title
Thunder over Bulls
Durant wins the MVP, with CP3 finishing 2nd, and Blake Griffin being top 5.
The most exciting playoff series, Thunder vs Clippers. Oklahoma goes nuts over Blake back in Oklahoma for a playoff series.
The reason I have the Nets in the conference finals, is I think they pull off a trade to get Dwight Howard.
The Lakers don't get Dwight, but they pull off a massive trade to get Kevin Love.

Hope Jeff Green gets better soon. I get really nervous whenever I hear the word "aneurysm."
Anyway, here's the Knicks' planned starting lineup:
Point Guard - Toney Douglas Shooting Guard - Landry Fields Small Forward - Carmelo Anthony Power Forward - Amar'e Stoudemire Center - Tyson Chandler
And here's the Nets':
PG - Deron Williams SG - Anthony Morrow SF - Damion James PF - Shelden Williams C - Brook Lopez
On a random note, the Nets have four players with the last name of "Williams."

First time since 1994 Knicks/Nets feels like a fair fight between both teams.

First time since 1994 Knicks/Nets feels like a fair fight between both teams. Was that the last time both teams were relevant at the same time? Yeesh.

I just saw the scoreboard between the Knicks and the Nets, and there's one notable name missing on there: Kris Humphries. What happened there? Did the Nets not sign him after his improvement last season? Were they too concerned that he would play terribly after his divorce? I'm actually surprised that they don't have him in their line-up as of now.
