I think this might have been a botched bladejob, reading the reports about the sheer amount of blood there was and the number of towels they needed to clean it all up. I'd argue that one of the big problems with WWE's "no blading" rule is that a lot of young guys never learn how to do it, since they've never had to. Has Cody Rhodes ever bladed before? And if not, has Randy Orton ever bladed another guy? (I know Orton has bladed himself, but sometimes the veteran does it for the younger guy, and I don't know that Orton, as the veteran, ever has).

Now, I don't think they should start blading left and right, but hopefully they're actually schooling guys on how it's done.

This wasn't a botched blade job. It was a botched hitting someone over the head with a bell job. Now we just wait and see if they edit out the entire post match segment, edit out parts of it, keep it all, or keep most of it but turn the color grey.

Well on the totem pole of things Orton has done to halt his push (which haven't) this ranks pretty low. The worst punishment they'll give is having Cody pin him clean, ie. the JBL treatment. But even that's doubtful.

I'll tell you what... THIS has made Orton look like a deranged psycho more than nearly anything else he's done since turning face. He damn near murdered Cody.
