You know, you're making my point. Its a show, we should really just relax. I love wrestling, but come on...its really hard to take THAT seriously. So far everything in the storyline has made sense, after appearing not to at first. Its kind of a pattern, we should wait and see where things lead. If you're watching a show to judge how good the booking is, you're probably not going to enjoy it period because you're not watching from the viewpoint of a fan anymore. It's just like any other TV show. If the stories are stupid, people are going to lose interest. And no, it hasn't made sense. The storyline was Punk vs. the world with Cena as the world's proxy. That's not what it is now. No, that would be Vince. Yeah, Cena was "the man," but he was never booked in this feud to be "da Man" with his foot on Punk's neck. He put his career on the line because he felt obligated to give Punk the title shot he deserved; if he was "da Man" from day one, wouldn't it have served him better to let Punk leave?

The story branched off into this, involves Miz and Truth, and they'll go back to Cena and Punk because that was left unsettled. I'd rather them not keep doing Punk vs Cena at every PPV, save some for later.

Any combination of the following:
- They come out and admit that Johnny Ace hates Triple H and is the "Real" man in charge. It would simplify things quite a bit.
- A rematch for the tag titles with Johnny Ace as the special ref. Won of course by Awesome Truth.
- Steph officially takes command (More Steph on TV is never a bad thing)
- The Debut of KoW/Antonio Cesare
- Debut of Seth Rollins/Colt Cabana/Somebody else

Trips SHOULD have won. It was a total schmozz of failing WCW proportions. If this is the right way to go, enlighten me how it works and exactly who Punk's "foil" is as the face who is presumably supposed to get over out of this. Like I said, I'm waiting and I get silence.

This match had the genius ideas of Vince Russo mixed with the working efficiency the last 10 minutes of the NXT Season 2 Finale.

I want to know when rooting for your favourites became a bad thing. You complain and you get the old "You're just mad because it didn't go the way you wanted it." Well yeah, that's the entire point. Sure it goes too far when people start talking about who should have won rather than who they would have liked to win but there's far too much of the grouping negative opinions together rather than taking then on individual merit.

I don't know how it works. I'm gonna wait to see what the people writing it say. I think the chaotic, confusing nature of everything lends itself to the schmozz. I enjoyed it, the whole time I was saying "the hell is going to happen next"? It was fun to watch, I wasn't thinking about WHY everything was happening, just watching to see what they would do.

Nothing. You simply can't make everyone happy no matter what you do. That said I just thought alot of the booking last night left alot to be desired. Good wrestling is fine and all, but it doesn't mean as much when the ending doesn't work. Honestly all I want is logical booking, pushes that don't stop and start every week or even on Smackdown in some cases, wrestlers actually getting to show some personality aside from the main ones, announcers being announcers and actually putting over the talent, matches, and storylines, J.R. actually being allowed to be J.R., and most importantly patience. And really I'd be happy with just one or two of those. here's my problem. You don't think it's logical that people attack those who inslt them, who they feel are holding them down should fight each other? Well sure, I'd consider that logical, but I wouldn't consider for example two guys who hate each other to suddenly start debating one another about whether the WWE pushes too many bodybuilders or not when we are supposed to believe that they hate each other; I wouldn't consider having someone beat the champion in a match and never get a title shot afterwards; I wouldn't consider having a guy look strong one week and then look like a complete joke the next logical. I'm not saying WWE doesn't do some things that make sense, but they have a far from perfect record when it comes to that.

That's why I made my own thread about it. Basically saying anything bad about the angle meant that you were pissed that Punk didn't win. Well, Punk winning made no sense, either. lol. Where do you go from there if he already won?
It was a match that had the "correct" outcome but everything else about it was totally FUBAR.
People need to understand that it's a TV show. Let's say you like alot of the characters. Or it's a show where they just roll out 101 hot chicks and dudes. Well, if the writing is utterly mongolodial, the show is doomed to fail.
You wouldn't watch that TV show after awhile, or would just go through the motions. That's the boat WWE is in. Except they don't have 101 characters people like. They have like 4.

Rooting for your favorites becomes a bad thing when you get as angry as some people do over it all. If I watch a hell of a match and the guy I wanted to win lost, I'm not really gong to be pissed, slightly disappointed but still happier of the quality of the match than I am angry over the outcome. I guess I just look at it differently from some. You can watch and be as angry as you want I guess, I just don't understand thats all. You know, I am from Cleveland. I'm so used to my favorites losing that it just rolls off my shoulders haha. That could be it.

What's with the judging people's entire mindset based on a simple message board comment? It's frankly insulting. That's what really annoys me. You make a negative comment and you're deemed a hater who isn't satisfied by anything who takes things too seriously. And yet nobody calls out the people who mark out excessively, like the guys who claimed they cried when Christian won the world title, for taking it too seriously.

Honestly, I think part of the anger I see in some posts (and I'll throw myself in since I've gotten flustered to the point of yelling what the f***) comes from getting what you want and not wanting it to end. What I mean is this. We as perhaps jaded fans, as we all can be at times, WANT to be sucked in, want to be pulled into the show like we used to. I know I do. When they pull it off, like they did at the outset of the Punk/Cena angle, it rekindles the excitement we used to feel. Then everything is just thrown nine ways out of whack, and it's like "damn it, they had me, and they screwed it up".

What was the first time you thought "oh crap they screwed the angle up"? Just curious, I understand what you mean, its just all kind of flowed to me and I've enjoyed it, nothing seemed jarring or out of place to make me think it was stupid...last night's match was so ridiculous that I can't even pass judgment but I was definitely caught up in it. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that they can make some sense out of it.

I really find it hard to believe that there has NEVER been a result in a wrestling match that has pissed you off.

Then everything is just thrown nine ways out of whack, and it's like "damn it, they had me, and they screwed it up". I should hire this guy as my spokesman. This is an angle that me to BUY a B-PPV.... which I haven't done in years. So if I liked that and it becomes a trainwreck, and not even a well-written trainwreck at that, I'm not supposed to be disappointed in that? Especially this angle. Look, Nexus got botched but nobody in their right mind thought anything was coming out of that, it was Wade Barrett and his merry legion of jobbers. They wouldn't let a major company's assortment of a few A-listers and mostly B-teamers get over on them, no way were they going to let FCW defeat John Cena in the end. But this angle, the fact that they let it happen, dropped a hint they were self aware of, what in some people's minds (clearly not "all", or maybe not even "most") is wrong with the product. And then what? They drop the self-awareness and go along reinforcing what is wrong with the product. John Cena's constant no drama victories... heat leeching, glass ceiling set 4 feet off the ground, non-existant midcard, announcers who don't announce but cram plotpoints down your piehole.... etc.

Hell, at this point Smackdown is winning me over because it's more KISS. Orton/Christian could have been done alot better, but at least it didn't go off the reservation like this. Henry has been PERFECTLY booked (I will give credit when credit is due). This whole Sin Cara thing, they made lemonade out of lemons... etc.
And I don't have to listen to King try to force things that aren't 100% over down my throat.

I guess the main thing is that I didn't see the main event as a trainwreck. I thought it was awesome myself, all the run-ins were suspenseful. I wasnt thinking about where it was going at all, just enjoying the moment.

The thing about the Night of Champions main event is that the interference was structured in a way that NONE of the interfering parties had a direct effect on the outcome of the match, so Awesome Truth, Super Ace, and Nash all looked completely stupid. Yet, there was so much interference that it looked like HHH just happened to be lucky enough to be able to hit his finisher first. Therefore, nothing was really settled in the feud between Punk and Hunter, and everyone involved looked like complete jokes. The only thing the main event accomplished was being a $60 infomercial for Punk vs. HHH II inside Hell in a Cell, which is bulls***. As for what could happen on RAW, maybe HHH could make an offer for six months free for the upcoming WWE network. considering the feud between Punk and Trips is all about ego it's best not to "settle" anything

I don't think anyone is trying to attack ALL the people who get upset at what happens in the WWE, but the ones who come on the message board and act like no one else should be enjoying the product when they aren't. It happens all the time on this board.

No more jobbing from Morrison.
And no more SuperCena. I don't mind regular John Cena so much.
