That's not an excuse for AJ not getting sympathy. Randy Savage was more over than anybody on the roster today except when Rock shows up every now and then in between his filmings of escape to witch mountain 5:mission to moscow. He was able to get people to boo him not being nice to a woman doing basically the same things. She just didnt evoke sympathy from a crowd. I'm not sure it's fair to directly compare those two examples, times have changed since the attidude era.

It bugs me that they're playing up her youthful looks. Just a few months ago she was strong and independent and now they're an inch close to selling her like they used to sell Hornswoggle: they're dwarves, so they're like kids! AJ has never played the strong and independent character. A few months ago she was playing the doormat gf for Daniel Bryan, and before then she was pretty much the DoD's bitch. And while they do play up her innocent appearance (why wouldn't they?), she's hardly acting like a kid. Do kids flirt with random interviewers backstage, or make out with demented monsters right in the middle of the ring?

I'm not sure it's fair to directly compare those two examples, times have changed since the attidude era. I'll grant you that times have changed. I'll even go further and say that crowds wanting women to be cut down has precedent. The way in which the crowd loved Jericho cutting down Stephanie comes to mind as does the heat that Sherri used to get and how they would cheer and cheer when warrior would throw her down. However, they were heels. AJ was supposed to be sympathetic. Even in the attitude era where stone cold would get cheered for stunning man, child or woman...Debra...a vastly inferior performer to elizabeth was able to get sympathy for getting f***ed around by Jeff Jarrett. Sable got sympathy for being dicked around by marc mero. I mean, sure wrestling evolves but I figure if you're a woman in an angle where you're getting abused and you dont get sympathy for it even after you cry and run away...I think somethings wrong with you as a performer.

The crowd cheered for Bryan because they were BEHIND Bryan. They were so behind him at that point that it completely overrode any kind of heel/face dynamic he was supposed to have and the fans were treating him like a face regardless. That's not AJ's fault, that's on the fans and creative/Vince for booking the WM match in such a way that it backfired and pissed the fans off to that extent.
And Jarrett and Mero never had anywhere near the amount of crowd support when they were doing that that Bryan had when he was doing it to AJ.

Sable got sympathy for being dicked around by marc mero. That's because Jarrett & Mero were extremely unlikable. Neither of them had the crowd behind them as much as Bryan did. AJ could've been a crying toddler in the ring and the crowd still would've supported Bryan.

Booing him until wrestlemania. Except at the moments of the bryan story which called for people to feel sympathy for AJ. They never did. The crowd may of loved bryan but I'm willing to bet if you put kelly in that situation who despite her shitty acting is able to evoke sympathy and compassion from a crowd...they wouldn't cheered him telling her to shut up. Mickie James got more sympathy for one segment in which there was an infantile photoshop of her as a pig than AJ Lee got for an abusive arrogant dick removing her identity. There's something wrong there.

There's something wrong there. That's because the people insulting her wer VASTLY DISLIKED by the crowd. Bryan has NEVER had that type of hatred. Kelly Kelly would've been no-sold as well. Bryan was just not going to get killed for saying anything to anybody.

A.J. is pretty good, but Mickie James was and is the best actor/actress in womens wrestling. Seriously, i didn't think she could cry on demand like that.

The only time Laycool was even close to being over was during their feud with Mickie, and even then, it took them being just vicious towards her over and over and over again for them to get the inconsistent, passable amount of heat they did. Vince and the writers were much more into Laycool than live audiences ever were.

Bryan was just not going to get killed for saying anything to anybody. Bryan was never as hated as double j. Double J might of had GOAT heat at one point even. However when he faced show, there were times where show got sympathy for bryan being such a dick to him. Big Show is a 7 foot 400 pound giant. AJ Lee is a really tiny woman and they didn't feel sorry for her. Kelly however is someone people do like alot. She's gotten sympathy before in angles based off people being dicks to her. Most other face divas have. AJ despite her size just doesnt evoke that sympathy in live crowds. She's been in jobber squashes where no one has cared.

The "I kinda dig crazy chicks" segment and this week sold me on her. I love watching her and Punk interact, they just have such a natural charisma about them. As stupid as I thought this whole storyline was going to be, the players in it are so great that I can't say enough good things about it. AJ was awesome tonight. She's got that whole "acting like a jailbait anime character" thing down pat, too, with the little head tilt towards Kane and everything. She's just f***ing great.

Last night was positively brilliant, right down to Kane's LOOK WHERE MY HANDS ARE stance for his wife at home.

Sable got sympathy for being dicked around by marc mero. Just wanna go back to this for a sec, to point out a couple of things. Up until the last month or so, Debra and Jeff were a well oiled machine, they were a unit without dissention. Also, Debra and Sable, hmmm why did those 2 get over in the attitude era? Their acting qualities? The booking? Or the fact they were too women with huge tits who pretty much every week teased showing them?

Best "actress" in the WWE in a long time!
Eve? We saw her do some of the worst acting EVER just this year! Making people hate you in wrestling does not always go hand-in-hand with great acting talent.

She's up there with Mickie and Melina under the "wrestling acting" skill. Mickie's highlight was the Trish stalker storyline (showing she could be entertainingly psychotic) and Melina's was the Mic Foley friendship angle (showing she could cry on que in one moment and be the most evil bitch the next). Eve before she join Johnny Ace was also putting up a good performance with the crying to lust switches she'd do. She came off as very manipulative that touched a nerve with men who've met women who've acted like that.

Tiger Maskoo, going sacred cow tipping. Laycool was hella over, they would often get the loudest boos of the night, as would Vicki. AJ inspires reactions in guys pants more than anything else, at least that explains the discrepancy between her Kingston Pops that I can never quite manage to hear and the vociferous online praise that I can never help but read.
