I completely loved the main event last night, and to be honest, I've loved everything about the Bryan/Henry storyline that's been going on. It's an underdog story that's being done just about perfectly, and both guys have looked better for it.
That said; the last 2 weeks AJ's been getting closer to my main man D-Bry.
And last night, Henry seemed to be taking his aggression to a whole new level, with his "NO MERCY" chants while walking to the ring.
I feel like Bryan and Henry won't cross paths for a while, and then there'll be something HUGE to really motivate Bryan to beat the holy hell out of Henry. And I think it's going to be Henry giving AJ a World's Strongest Slam.
It seems like that would be the thing to put this feud over the top and really get 100% of the crowd behind Bryan. Henry would look like the devil himself, and Bryan would have a reason to go absolutely mental and destroy the guy.
Agree/disagree?

If Tiegate really was about a pissed off sponsor, there is no way in hell they'd do this.

Yeah, this seems like something that would get WWE in real hot water.

I think that it's more likely that they use her as a plot device to show how Bryan is becoming obsessed with capturing the title at the expense of relationships and everything else in his life.
No way they have anyone destroy a woman.

If this was the Attitude Era, then yes. But no way would current WWE allow man on woman violence. That would open up a Pandora Box no one wants to deal with. The media and political backlash would be brutal.

He'll probably destroy Regal instead just to get into Bryan's head.

Henry will make a mildly offensive remark towards AJ in the back which will cause her to cry, thus giving Bryan the impetus to go out there and destroy the World's Strongest Man.

Didn't Punk give Beth Phoenix a GTS at last years Royal Rumble? I know there's a size difference between Phoenix and AJ and Punk and Henry, but I don't think it's THAT taboo.

You guys really think AJ taking a Worlds Strongest Slam would result in some kind of media uproar? No one outside of wrestling fans would even see it, or care. Maybe Wade Keller gets pissed off, but who cares about that?
I think something like this could be effective since we've seen no male on female violence since Jericho punched HBK's wife. They could even book it as AJ trying to save Bryan and diving off the top rope at Henry, who catches her and "instinctively" gives her the slam. Have Henry show enough regret to be human, but blames Bryan for it in typical bully heel fashion. I think this could be tremendous, if handled correctly.

Remember Umaga vs. Maria, with the really really late run in from Cena.

This was what popped into my head. I don't know where this "huge uproar" would come from. I'm not talking about Henry leaving AJ bloody, I'm saying he gives her one (1) World's Strongest Slam and lays her out. It'll be shocking, it's supposed to be. But it wouldn't be some distasteful thing that makes Henry look like a sadist.

Is it messed up that I, as a woman, really miss the era of women randomly getting finishers?
Is it more messed up that I feel like maybe one of the most effective segments ever was the complete destruction of Team Xtreme by the Two Man powertrip?

Yeah, Mark Henry hits AJ with a Worlds Strongest Slam, and then poses with his foot on top of her body, leading Bryan to absolutely brutalise the crap out of him.

Y'know, it's too bad that Henry destroying AJ might only generate bad publicity instead of ticket sales, because while it could be argued that it is cheap heat, it would make Daniel Bryan look good from a moral standpoint in the overall scheme. Things like that make me miss being a mark.

The media and political backlash would be brutal. It worked in 1991 with Jake Roberts and Elizabeth. Come to think of it, they did a lot of things around 1991-ish that the Attitude era probably wouldn't have even touched.

It would be a good way to get epic heat for Henry and, motivate Bryan enough to kick the crap out of Henry.
I've gotta say, I've loved this feud. It's how an underdog story should be done, not Rey Mysterio getting a string of wins over a giant heel/stable whilst the commentators bleet on about him been an underdog.
