As other posters have said, Mark does NOT need to lay hands on her, but if this is the way it goes a simple threat may not be enough.
Imagine Mark confronting DB in the back, like the last couple weeks, however this time AJ is with him and gets caught in the crossfire, laying BOTH of them out. Being smaller, she is injured worse than Daniel while Mark cuts a promo in the ring about not caring who gets in his way when he is inducting people into the Hall.
Cue PISSED OFF DB kicking his head in.
IF it happens, pure armchairing from me.

It could be the thing that puts DB over the top and into the "Kick his f****** head in!" attitude he had during some of his ROH days. It could also lead to Mania if done right.

At most, I could see Mark lifting her up into the World's Strongest Slam position, but getting stopped by Bryan before she actually takes the slam.

And in a swerve of Russo proportions, after getting attacked, AJ will screw over Daniel Bryan and end up hooking up with Mark Henry, a la Jericho/Trish/Christian at Wrestlemania XX.

And then at the AJ/Mizark wedding, things are thrown into chaos, after DB gets beat down, when Sammy the transvestite shows up....
Zeke plays the part of Snitsky, but instead of feet, he's got a golden shower fetish!
Then of course, AJ ends up screwing over Mark Henry and making him sympathetic, by hooking up with Randy Orton, who absolutely doesn't need a support character, but who cares!

That kind of violence in EVERY single episode might be an issue, but if it's once for something majorly barbaric to being a blood feud? Nah, I think it's fine.
Remember the shit Orton did for the WM25 build up? It's like 10x worse, and the WWE is MORE lenient now, not less.

Again, the WWE was a LOT more PG in 2009, and Orton RKO'd Steph before lying on top of her unconscious body and kissing her on the lips. Henry slamming AJ in front of a tied up Bryan would be CRAZY heat, especially given the size differential between Henry and AJ. |

Ever since AJ got in a storyline with Bryan, I've been wondering what her purpose will ultimately be. But I think it's more likely that Daniel will get more intense until he dumps her to focus on winning the title.
I'd love to see Mark bully her though, if only because it would probably get her over big time.

Hmm, there are a few differences with Stephanie though, which I'd like to point out.
Because Stephanie is known to be high up in the WWE, and a McMahon, the sponsors, etc, might have been a lot more generous about her getting physical in environments with male wrestlers than any other female on-scrreen talent.
The other thing to consider is the visual aspect of it. Some may not like this, but I think there may be a perception that because Mark Henry is 400lbs and, dare I say it, black, this might be too much for some viewers (rightly or wrongly) which might stir up a huge amount of controversy. I personally think they should go for it because the added heat would get everyone involved over, but whether they will, is yet to be known.

You guys really think AJ taking a Worlds Strongest Slam would result in some kind of media uproar? No one outside of wrestling fans would even see it, or care. Pretty much this. A parent group will rant about it and WWE will be scared but it's not like Fox News and CNN will be competing for people to ask questions about it like they were with the Benoit incident. The media only cares for pro wrestling when they feel like it. They wouldn't care about it. |
