I sense Bryan losing next week in the cage and holding onto the case. Also better pic {Spoiler}http://twitter.com/loveablelinds/status/139158785980776448/photo/1/large

I desperately want Daniel Bryan to win because I'm a huge mark for the guy and I think he's really earned it and has proven how quickly someone can get over with the WWE audience if given the chance.
I also want him to win because I want Cody Rhodes or Wade Barrett to have MitB.
Edit: I may be reading too much in to this but they did a fake out title win for D Bry tonight and then gave him a hard won, presumably, shot at the title against an injured champion inside a cage on a live broadcast. The conditions are perfect for a title change.

I have an idea....what if he win the World Championship then crash the briefcase on C.M. Punk for the WWE Championship leading to a feud between the two? No go. The blue briefcase can only be used for the World Heavyweight title.

I find it unlikely that they're going to let the title change hands in a scheduled match on free tv, since they don't do that very often. (If this is an exception, though, I certainly won't complain!)
If Mark Henry wins, there are two ways I can imagine it going.
1. Cody Rhodes, still pissed off about Dragon making him tap, interferes in the cage match and costs him the win, postponing Dragon's WHC dreams and setting up a feud with Rhodes over the IC strap.
2. Teddy Long will turn heel and screw over Bryan AGAIN, somehow.

Teddy doesn't need to turn heel to screw people. He just has to say HOLLA HOLLA HOLLA and do his magic.

I think the whole Bryan thing is outstanding. They've long stated that in order to cash in on a champion, the champion must be conscious. Another MitB winner tried the same thing and got the same result. They tested to see how the fans would react seeing Daniel Bryan become World Heavyweight Champion and the results were in his favor.

I always got the impression it was basically 24/7, just as long as there was a champ, a ring and a ref. Though I'll admit I haven't seen an awful lot of RAW or SD in a while, so if this is only a point they've been dropping recently then I would have obviously missed it.

Have they ever had a MitB winner become number one contender before? I would have never ever considered, but it's a hell of a good way to build up Bryan. He can win the title next week and hold onto the briefcase for if he ever loses it, or he can lose next week and know that he always has another shot.

Have they ever had a MitB winner become number one contender before? Edge won a No. 1 Contender Tournament while he had the first MITB briefcase. It was the one with the awesome HBK/Benjamin match and the Lita heel turn.

I recall that when Swagger was ready to pin Jericho he was pretty desperate that Jericho stand up. Sure he wanted to hit his power bomb finish, but if Jericho couldn't stand and Swagger could cash in he wouldn't need to.

Yeah I don't get it. In fact when Show layed out Henry at the PPV I thought then would be a good time for Bryan to cash in. Either way it will be tough to keep him babyface if he cashes in early and rips someone off and goes back on his word. Except Bryan wasn't at the PPV because he was recovering from the injuries inflicted by Mark Henry. They said this on commentary.

In fact he barely made it up to his knees.

I think Del Rio's cash in was the only time the did it like that. All the other surprise cash-ins, the ref waited until the soon to be former champion made it to his feet.

That's what my friend said when I brought up the idea of Bryan cashing in on Punk, but my response to that is since when does WWE care about rules like that? That is exactly the kind of thing WWE would completely ignore if it was beneficial to them.

Punk as at least on his knees when Del Rio cashed in, a no longer existing video showed Bryan literally trying to roll Mark Henry over for 20 seconds to pin him. Henry was out cold the entire time.

They both have a lot of similarities, including the phantom title reign now.

I definitely agree here, Mark was out cold. However, I guess that calls into play a kind of plothole: Wouldn't a trained WWE official (it was Lil' Naitch in the video I think) know that rule? Why would he count the fall if Henry was clearly unable to compete? Yes, this could even be explained away that Naitch was just too damned excited about Bryan cashing in that he forgot about the rule and counted the pin, but I don't trust WWE Creative to pick up on these strands.
