You left out: “I’m not going to another wrestling company that is not in my plans!!! I didn’t ask for my release to go to another company.” So she wanted out because she wanted to entertain her fans and wasn't getting a chance. Fine but those same fans only know her from wrestling which she doesn't want to do. Makes perfect sense.

A C-Level WWE Diva...and this thread is at 10 pages? Huh?!?!?! There are levels for the divas? I'm pretty sure that aside from AJ, they're all at the bottom of the WWE ladder.

If by entertain she means go back to modeling like Maryse, then I'm perfectly OK with that.

I can't say I blame her, if she's been there for 4 years with no sign of upward mobility.

So Maxine seems to be leaving wrestling. If only the rest of the Divas would take that step. WWE can replace them by giving guys from Superstars/NXT that segment. Or by airing a blank screen with the WWE logo for 2 minutes. Either way, it would be a step up.

Why should I want WWE to even bother with them if I like about 35-40 of the male wrestlers (at least) more than I like my favorite Diva?

So not liking the Divas = not liking women? Thank you. Most of the Divas matches are abysmal, the ones better than abysmal aren't good enough to make up for all the abysmal ones, and with WWE being PG, they now suck as eye candy, too. Therefore, no reason for me to want them to be there.

So not liking the Divas = not liking women? So because WWE can't book women right currently (and historically), we shouldn't have women around at all? Why not ask for WWE to change how they do business instead? Yeah, that doesn't come across as not liking women. Because of a bunch of bad eggs, you are completely shunting away an entire gender from the E. It's not like there are no talented female wrestlers out there. Why take away their possible chance?

See, ever time I hear stuff like this, I keep thinking whether we would say the same thing if we switch female with black if it weren't for guys like Ernie Ladd, Bobo Brazil, Ron Simmons, etc. And it bothers the hell out of me.

Why take away their possible chance? It's creative's fault when they have no storylines. It's not creative's fault when I watch a Divas match on Superstars, NXT, and PPVs where they aren't limited to 1-2 minutes and come away understanding why WWE limits their time on Raw and Smackdown.

It should bother you because it's a bad analogy. If black wrestlers were part of a separate division that was booked even worse than the main product, then yes I wouldn't want to see it. It wouldn't be because they were black. It would be because the product they were a part of (this fictional black-only division) sucked.

I haven't heard people say this about the cruiserweights though. And both TNA and WWE have booked their CW divisions terribly numerous times. As for the analogy, I really don't think this distaste for the divas comes from the product. It doesn't. I honestly think that if they had Ayako Hamada, Mercedes Martinez, or someone around that range were wrestling guys (which both have before) or each other, it wouldn't matter, they'd still want them gone. I was hearing this same thing when the KOs division was at it's height.

I am not accusing the poster who started this line of speaking of but I can say for a fact we have had several people post here that have said flat out they want the females gone because they are female and have no place in wrestling.

I....was just making a silly sex joke with the whole SCREW WOMEN thing. Didn't mean for it to get taken so seriously. :/
But then again, saying watching the WWE logo instead of Divas as a step in the right direction is a little silly in its own right.
