The thing is, even if he felt the need to stiff someone to teach respect, this is NOT how to do it. Even guys like JBL or the like would stiff someone on a few punches or something, and I imagine that yeah, that hurts, but they didn't choke them and drop them on their heads. There's a difference between risking killing someone and just making them sore the next day.

I don't see a big problem with giving a few punishing shots, but not threatening to cripple or kill someone.

Wrestler culture. Is. INSANE. You guys are ACTORS. You are travelling stage-combat performers. What on earth happens to these guys to make them buy into this whole thing, much less use it to justify awful behavior? Absolutely. I guess that some douchebags buy into their hype as badass types for their ability to fake fight. Karma is a hell of a thing though.

I know they risk their bodies for entertainment, and I respect that, but Jesus, just because you've been doing it longer than other people doesn't mean you're a goddamn deity. It also doesn't mean people need to drop everything they're doing to give you the ego boost you want. Oh, you took some martial arts classes? Well, the first thing they teach you in ANY martial art is to never use it unless your life is in danger, so you can stop flaunting that around too. Bunch of delusional jocks.

There's a difference between risking killing someone and just making them sore the next day. That's exactly it. Since when are messages sent with barely protected piledrivers and f***ing chokeholds? Total, unprofessional and unjustifiable bullshit. He could've killed him. Davey Richards is an asshole. That's all. BJ Whitmer kind of came out and explained what he was saying in "support" of what happened. He basically thinks it was alright because, back in the day, he got the shit beaten out of him by veterans to "show respect" or "break him in." He's just part of a cycle and doesn't seem to know better. Wrestler culture is very much f***ed up and this is just more proof. I don't agree with the view at all, but I can understand why he thinks the way he does. BJ, as a person, is a really great guy -- and I speak from personal experience. He's just misguided on this particular topic.

This is interesting. Looks like Kozina was suppose to face O'Reilly tomorrow in Baltimore at a ROH show. They were listed on the card before but now they aren't. Looks like ROH pulled them from the show. I'm hoping ROH is considering taking serious action such as completely releasing Kozina and Richards and at least suspending O'Reilly. Here is the card listing. www.rohwrestling.com/live/events/2012/aug/3/baltimore-md-080312-tv-taping

At this point, they might just be distancing themselves, but realistically, they'd be better off just washing their hands of them.
There will be a booker probably who will try to make money off of whatever notoriety comes of this, but ROH tries to cultivate an image of being a little classier than most, and this would do great harm to it.

Davey Richards has a small penis. Something I've learned over the course of my life is that anyone who talks that much about being a man is severely lacking in the lady-pleasuring department, it's almost universal. Richards practically couldn't go a single sentence without bringing it up. He's packing a tic tac.

Respect goes both ways. The guys like Bull Pain and others seemed to stiff guys, but they also had enough respect to realize that this guy needs to work too. Especially in a world where you don't f*** around with concussions, I feel these guys were just improperly trained and fed bullshit in what they think respect is.

Karma is a hell of a thing though. And Kama, The Supreme Fighting Machine, could've kicked all of their asses.

If you don't mark for Kama, you don't respect the business.

If you don't mark for Kama, you don't respect the business. I love it when angry threads here suddenly take a sharp left turn into silliness.

For me it started with "Davey Richards has a small penis". That's when I started cracking up, but since Kama showed up to kick all of their asses I have tears streaming down my face.

It's like the opposite of when Graham Chapman would interrupt a Python sketch that got a bit too wacky. "Now, Now, stop. I won't have any more of this. This thread is not silly enough!!"

"Oh my, surely the thread is not really about..."
"...Huh."

The E should offer all of these douchebags "tryout matches" vs. Brock Lesnar and/or the APA. The problem with that is, they'd probably catch the eye of Steph, and all of them would have cushy jobs with pushes in the 'E.

Small Penises don't have respect for the business.
As far as I'm concerned, they deserve to be stiffed.
