I've taken XPW to the heights of 3rd most popular wrestling company. I can't sack Lizzie Borden, but I haven't used her once in a year. Some of my main event guys (this is circa '03 by the way): Spanky, Lenny Lane, Bam Bam Bigelow, Blue Meanie, Marc Mero, Psychosis, Carly Colon, John Phoenix and Lodi. I have Bret Hart as commissioner. What Risk Level do you have them at? I had an old game where I took CZW to National. It was fun but it was back in the day where I refused to use Arsenic for anything, so I had stuff like Alex Shelley getting super over, then me giving him the World title then him losing morale for whatever reason so I'd just fire him. That CZW game will forever be remembered for my favorite stable idea ever. I had Julius Smokes start one up called "The Projects" where he would use wrestling as a tool to get underprivileged kids off the streets, so I filled it full of flippy-do kids like Jack Evans, Deranged and Jardi Frantz. But then Jay Lethal comes in with a Junkie gimmick and keeps hounding them for a fix. The whole thing was supposed to end with them being revealed as a drug-running cartel or something but it never happened as Jay Lethal ended up having to go to rehab for a heroin addiction. No joke.

Just reached the end of 2012 (started with a March 2012 roster download, running WWE), and here's the top 10 wrestlers, and what I've been doing with the guys in WWE:
1. Peter Orlov (WWE) - Haven't really done much with him. Mainly just use him as an opponent for other wrestlers with good all-around stats (Cesaro, Rollins, etc.) 2. CM Punk (WWE) - Has been in the WWE title scene the entire time. Held the title until Summerslam, where he lost to Miz. Regained the title at Survivor Series, only to lose it immediately to Ziggler via MitB. 3. Sin Cara (WWE) - Haven't had to many feuds with him. Biggest one was against Hunico, in which I had Hunico ultimately win. Cara is still very over though (He was at 92 over last I checked). 4. Xavier Woods (WWE) - Still in developmental. 5. Kurt Angle (TNA) 6. Seth Rollins (WWE) - Called him up, but haven't done too much with him. But that'll probably change soon. 7. Chris Hero (CZW/IWA/ROH) 8. Chris Jericho (WWE) - Put him in feuds with Punk and Cena, but he still has very low morale. Working on it though. 9. Austin Aries (TNA) 10. Davey Richards (ROH/JAPW/CZW)
As for the other WWE talent in the top 100:
11. Shawn Michaels 13. Christian 16. R-Truth 17. Antonio Cesaro 18. Edge 19. Bo Rotundo 20. Dolph Ziggler 21. Daniel Bryan 23. Jack Swagger 25. Justin Gabriel 26. Colt Cabana 28. Richie Steamboat 30. Kofi Kingston 35. Zack Ryder 40. The Miz 41. Alberto Del Rio 43. Corey Graves 44. Rey Mysterio 47. Damien Sandow 48. Triple H 50. Cheerleader Melissa 51. Primo 52. John Cena 53. Ted DiBiase 57. William Regal 64. Cody Rhodes 67. Wade Barrett 68. Tyson Kidd 70. Dean Ambrose 77. Ric Flair 78. Randy Orton 83. Drew McIntyre 85. Heath Slater 87. Undertaker 88. Brad Maddox 89. Nick Rogers 92. Derrick Bateman 98. Hunico 99. Mike Dalton
Also, Michael Cole announced he's retiring in a month. So I replaced him on NXT with Abraham Washington and on PPV's with Shawn Michaels. I'm also amazed with how quickly some people can get over. I've been having a mini-feud with Damien Sandow and Dean Ambrose on NXT. Within a month, Sandow went from 56 over to 67, and Ambrose went from 65 to 79. And somehow, Jack Swagger is 94 over.

Would anyone be interested in attempting a two player TEW challenge on these very boards? Send me a PM if you're interested and we'll try to figure out specifics.

Something I forgot to mention: I got one of the incidents where someone marries an unknown McMahon daughter. The one who got married? Orlando Jordan. And he's still an Opener.

Yeah, definitely be careful with that. The first time it happened to me, it was with Sheamus, who was WHC at the time. When he was losing steam, I was going to alter him down to Upper Midcarder, but he refused it, which led to him just plummeting in overness. Now I'm trying to rebuild him, but it'll take a while for that to happen. Fortunately, the other two (yes, it happened to me three times in less than a year) weren't as high up on the card. Johnny Curtis is still on NXT, and I'm slowly building up Derrick Bateman on Raw.

Just ran Starrcade 1987.
1. Kerry Von Erich and Nick Bockwinkle defeated Marty Jannetty © and Shawn Michaels © to win the NWA United States Tag Team Titles. When AWA died I swooped in and signed most of their talent, including Bockwinkle and The Rockers. After a long feud with Ric Flair, Von Erich turned heel and I paired him with Bockwinkle, who is playing a role similar as what Flair played for Evolution in 03-05, that being a part time wrestler/manager.
2. Big Van Vader © defeated Cactus Jack in a Street Fight to retain the NWA Television Title. I only recently acquired these two, and their feud with one another has helped get them both over. Vader beat Cactus for the TV Title at Clash of Champions the month before, and he retains it here in a match with no rules. For the record, Vader is the babyface, and im using Dusty Rhodes as his mouthpiece, which has helped him immensely up to this point.
3. Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton defeated Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane in a Tag Team Match. It was Eaton and Condrey for a long time, and the two teams feuded when Condrey was there with the RnR Express coming out on the winning end. But then Lane showed up and turned things around for James E Cornette and the Midnight Express, and they vowed to conquer RnR with their improved lineup. This was the blowoff, and they obviously didnt succeed.
4. Rick Rude defeated Owen Hart in a Singles Match. As with most historic scenarios, guys who are really young in 86 but would go on to be great down the line (aka Owen) are really overrated stats-wise, so I tried to avoid signing too many of them. Owen was one of the few I did. He was TV champ for a while until losing it to Cactus, at which point he eyed a bigger prize in the US Title, but ran into Rude along the way. This is their first encounter, where Rude won via shady heel tactics. They'll meet again down the line.
5. Ted DiBiase and Stunning Steve Austin defeated Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard in a Tag Team Match. Aside from Owen, Austin is the only other young guy with ridiculous stats that I signed and pushed. He would become the 4th member of the Horsemen once Ole was ousted, but would eventually be kicked out by Flair and replaced by Curt Hennig. Austin would beat Hennig in a feud before teaming with former world champion and major nemesis to the Horsemen Ted DiBiase to take on Arn and Tully. Now with Hennig, Arn, and Tully out of the way, Stunning Steve has his eyes set on the guy who kicked him out of the Horsemen, Ric Flair.
6. Curt Hennig © defeated Barry Windham to retain the NWA United States Title. Hennig was the prize piece of the AWA that I scooped up when the company died, and as I stated above he was brought in by Ric Flair to replace Stunning Steve in the Horsemen. He would beat Austin for the US Title with the help of Flair, and has held it since. Windham, after DiBiase, has probably been the Horseman's biggest rival, taking Flair to the limit several times for the World Title. Now he's targeting US gold, but came up short against Hennig.
7. Rick Steiner © and Scott Steiner © defeated Hawk and Animal to retain the NWA World Tag Team Titles. While Dusty Rhodes manages Big Van Vader, he also manages The Steiner Brothers, and has led them to the top of the mountain, a spot that used to belong to The Road Warriors. Hawk and Animal would show how unhappy they were at being replaced as the #1 team when they turned heel by brutalizing The Steiners and Dusty, and would dominate everyone they stepped in the ring with until they earned their shot. This was their shot, and The Steiners got payback for the attack by stopping The Road Warrior's momentum.
8. Sting defeated Ric Flair to win the NWA World Title. I've been running this game for a year and a half (in-game time), and I've only had 3 World Champions. Flair, DiBiase, and Flair again. Naitch has been dominant, but so has the relative newcomer Sting. He leaped his way up the card with a feud against Lex Luger, then proved he was real by beating Rick Rude at the Great American Bash. This was his first shot at the World Title, and he made the most of it by doing what only one other person has been able to do so far. These two certainly arent done wrestling.

I love playing scenario games on EWR, but often times the stats/contract demands/overall data just sucks. Can you guys recommend any really good, really accurate scenario downloads?

Honestly, not really. At some point, I plan to finish the '86 scenario I've been working on and start on a '92. The only reason I've been doing it at all is because, as you said, they all suck.

And what sucks also is I changed Triple H's gimmick to Whole Damn Show and it got not much of a response and his gimmick continues to kill his heat after the change. And he's using creative control to prevent me from fixing it.

Decided to start playing TEW 2005 as TNA, Got an A for Impact and a B for Xplosion, which was dragged down a tad because AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels apparently have no chemistry. Well I never....

Something I forgot to mention: I got one of the incidents where someone marries an unknown McMahon daughter. The one who got married? Orlando Jordan. And he's still an Opener. I ran a PWG game once where Kyle O'Rielly married an unknown daughter of the PWG Six. I ended up turning it into an angle, where Kyle had to beat each member of the PWG Six to prove he was worthy of marrying their daughter. I even ran a wedding afterwards where Kyle married Madison Rayne (who I used as the daughter). She ended up becoming his manager and got him to 92 overall. I miss that game sometimes.

I've done the same, just to freshen up the scene. Never with Cena though but have released Orton and Big Show when they were some of my top guys See, I don't just outright fire them. I use one of my shows and job them out to nobodies in every segment. That way, I kill their heat and value and piss them off enough so they quit and I don't have to pay them.

Just began a fresh start game as ROH (nobody has a contract) and I was suprised to see Jim Cornette assume ownership of the WWE and the WWE Board of Directors taking over TNA. I laughed a little when I saw that bit in the corner though.

I decided to try again with a WWE Game under the name Mr. Person. This happened as soon as the game opened. (Transcript)
Meanwhile, somewhere in a laboratory...
Brain: Pinky, what are you doing? Pinky: Narf, I'm watching wrestling Brain. Brain: Your stupidity continues to amaze me. Pinky: Look at the crowd Brain. Poit! They are transfixed by this spectacle of athleticism. (A lightbulb flashes above Brain's head) Brain: Pinky... are you pondering what I'm pondering? Pinky: Narf! I think so Brain! But I don't think Shawn is going to job to you at the next WrestleMania. Brain: No Pinky! Wrestling... it's a perfect way to tap into the minds of millions of easily influenced people! Pinky: So Brain? Brain: So I shall start up my own wrestling promotion... World Domination Wrestling! This is perfect! Pinky: Good idea Brain! I shall start up Narf Poit Wrestling as well. Oh what fun! Heh heh! Brain: I cannot wait for tonight! Pinky: Why Brain? What are we doing tonight? Brain: The same thing we do every night Pinky... try to take over the world... of wrestling!! Pinky: Narf!

WDW looked to be awesome as they snatched up a bunch of lightweight talent like John Morrison, Chris Hero, London and Kendrick, Shelton Benjamin, Alex Shelley and others. But they only have a monthly PPV and no TV show, so they're still at National in the #3 spot between TNA and ROH. I picked up my game after about a month or so of being away from it. It's hard to get back in but I'm starting to get my original booking ideas back. I did decide to turn Christian face now that Mick Foley is officially my Smackdown GM and I don't have him doing anything else, so now he's the #1 active face in the company, even above CM Punk.

The following happened to my wife when she was playing TEW 08 as TNA: Vince McMahon dies - overness drops big time. The WWE board has announced a new owner: Dusty Rhodes! - Overness goes into a free fall. Dusty quits after three days - Things rebound slightly. The WWE board has announced the next new owner: Ted Turner! By the end of all of it, the WWE was at near backyard status. Everyone save for The Undertaker and Cena were gone. The number one promotion in the world ended up being CMLL, if I remember correctly.

Wasn't there an "official" forum for FAN members playing EWR, diaries, etc.?
If so, does anyone have a link? I just started a game with NWA Hollywood and have actually started keeping a diary for it.
