Okay, I really am having trouble downloading the new update to my EWR Data. I am stuck with the 2003 data, and cannot change it. I'm trying to extract it to the folder, and its giving me nothing. I don't even seem to have the option to unzip the folder with the new data in.
Unbelievably frustrating.

I am wondering what gimmick would work best for Aces and Eights considering the biker glitch.

I asked this question a few weeks ago, and I thought I'd ask again. Does anyone remember how to book two events in one month?

Finally got around to posting my May show. Thoughts: Having to have your biggest show of the year at Nassau Coliseum is depressing. First match is a dark match, to get the Yakuza (KENTA/YAMATO) over in preparation for a tag title shot. HaasRhodes is the ever creative name for Cody Rhodes and Charlie Haas, who team because I can't sign Shelton Benjamin. Opener is a US Title match, Anderson did the job to protect Hero. Anderson then turned face the next TV show, as he's inexplicably gotten over while having mediocre results. Daniels/Bryan neverending feud continues. Womens match is a women's match. Melissa recruited Kong for revenge, it didn't work. Wade Barrett found his overness cap and it was in the low 60%'s. So you can figure out what happened. Del Rio lost the Super Cruiser title title to Jay Lethal because of Mick Foley's interference after Del Rio insulted him a few days earlier. Lethal transitioned the belt to Shelley. Evan Bourne was finally in a match that didn't suck. This was an Ultimate X match. Hopefully a belt hung better than a X. I already explained Del Rio/Foley. Lucifer obliterated Abyss, powerbombing him off the stage, and then challenged the winner of the main event. BMI beat Chavo and Carlito in a TLC match. Which sticks out like a sore thumb on that match listing. Given the time that was given to this match, total dud. RVD and Joe began what will be a hot feud. Joe is doing the "big match losing streak gimmick". After the match he laid out RVD and turned heel. This will continue. Angle took the title back from Swagger to culminate their 4-5 month program. Swagger did alright as an interim champ. The Bob Sapp experiment continues, he's up to around 30% everywhere and probably halfway to TV. Mike Tenay wanted too much money, so he was told to take a hike. He did the Super Cruiser show. Replacement? Terry Funk, who also joins the road agent team. Makes no sense why he'd be a PBP for a Cruiser show, but that's the beauty of the game. Had another fight night backstage where disgruntled midcarders, scrubs, trainers and the like got into it. Val Venis got fired for getting into two fights, which is never a good idea when your main service to the company is jobbing on the developmental show. Charlie Haas got suspended for a week, and Mark Briscoe and Jay Lethal got fined. New additions are Gail Kim and the Hart Dynasty. The big signing that I need on the face side is just not there. Holding out hope CM Punk's contract he signed last game year was a 1 year deal. He's down to C+ overness in the US and I will sign him if he comes available, even if I have to rig the game, because why would he want to stay in the WWE? Unless I fired too many of his friends.

So I dusted off my WWE game to book for Survivor Series and, for no real reason at all, I gave Ricardo Rodriguez the US title.

Alright, just booked Survivor Series and actually managed to do an entire old-school team based show.
Pre-Show NXT Match NXT GM Matt Striker/Alex Riley/Percy Watson/Mike McGillicutty/Jake Carter defeated NXT Champion Heath Slater/Conor O'Brian/JTG/Curt Hawkins/Tyler Reks Sole Survivor: Matt Striker
Team Random Faces vs Team Random Heels United States Champion Ricardo Rodriguez/Santino Marella/Drew McIntyre and The Power of Funk (Mason Ryan and Brodus Clay) defeated High Society (Antonio Cesaro, Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson)/Hunico/Nick Rogers Survivors: Ricardo Rodriguez and Santino Marella
Random CM Punk promo to boost the ratings.
Divas Match Divas Champ AJ/Kharma/Kaitlyn/Beth Phoenix/Sofia Cortez defeated Layla/Natalya/Eve/Naomi/Tenille Survivors: The entire heel team as Kharma lays out the face team single-handedly.
After the Divas match, AJ takes credit for the win and is called out on it by Trish Stratus. AJ tries to get Kharma to back her up but she refuses, allowing Trish to attack AJ and pose with the Divas title.
Team Miz vs Team Punk The Miz and the Show Offs (Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger and David Otunga) defeated WWE Champion CM Punk/Zack Ryder/Matt Cross/Evan Bourne and Justin Gabriel Sole Survivor: The Miz
Team Foley vs Team Teddy with Smackdown ownership on the line Smackdown GM Mick Foley/Christian/Derrick Bateman/None More Black (Seth and Silas Black) defeated Daniel Bryan/Street Rat Pack (Sami Callihan and Dean Ambrose)/Tyson Kidd/Giant Bernard Survivors: Mick Foley and Christian
After the match, WWE COO Triple H fires Theodore Long once and for all and makes Foley the permanent Smackdown GM.
Bragging Rights - Team Raw vs Team Smackdown World Champion King Truth/Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes/Randy Orton/William Regal/Ted DiBiase defeated John Cena/Alberto Del Rio/Sheamus/Tag Team Champions Kane and Mark Henry Sole Survivor: King Truth

Just for kicks, I'm working on an EWR WCW 1998 scenario. It's actually not so easy with the many talents on the roster. You can't keep everybody happy and I didn't feel like breaking it all down with random brand splits.
-All the lower-level guys signed were sent to developmental. Christian and Lodi were the first two to "graduate".
-Most of the guys whining they aren't on TV enough, I usually just release. Scott Steiner, Scott Hall, Randy Savage & Hollywood Hogan (who won't do any kind of jobs to anybody but Sting) are all unemployed and neither WWF or ECW picked them up after a couple of months.
-Ric Flair put over Bret Hart in a nice feud, started whining about his time. I had Bill Goldberg go over him clean, and Ric decided he wanted to retire from in-ring competition. He's my authority figure while Dusty Rhodes is out after Raven's Flock injured him. (Ric's only there because he gets me 95-100% in his promos.)
-Konnan is getting over pretty well as a "bum" feuding with Chris Benoit. (Some things you just try to shut these guys up. I was never a big fan of Konnan anyway. Who knew this would work?)
-I added two title belts for the lower & mid-carders to fight over on the C-show: WCW Hardcore & WCW King Of Saturday Night. Perry Saturn, Fit Finlay, Crash Holly (whom I signed as Finlay's lackey) Meng & Norman Smiley all fight over the Hardcore belt. Hugh Morrus won the KOSN title after a well-booked feud with Michael Wallstreet. (Now, guys with low morale are all lining up to feud with Hugh: Curt Hennig, Rick Steiner and Kevin Nash all had interest.)
-As often as they've been wrestling from the beginning, Eddie Guerrero & Dean Malenko are still going strong. I've had a few feuds start and finish, but these guys show no sign of letting up.
Nitro is beating Raw weekly in the ratings by a full point, averaging a 6.5. Thunder gets consistent 2.5-2.6 ratings. Saturday Night was a graveyard show getting a 0.55. I finally got it moved to late evening and scored a 2.56.

You know, these booker games really help give you an understanding of exactly why so many workers get underutilized.
Especially if you're playing the WWE.
After you've sorted your title situations out, gotten all your big feuds set, settled on your booking structure for all your TV shows and devised what you're building to the PPVs, there's always a fistfull of folks that just slipped through the cracks.
Try to be as impartial as you like, there's going to be some people sitting there unless you just toss them in random matches just for the sake of getting them work, unless of course you're more the future endeavoring type.
I guess that's why there's a creative team, as much as we shit on them. It's a tall, tall order to ask one man to keep all this running without skimping anywhere.

Still running the original roster from EWR in WWE. Just called up Mercedes Martinez, Bret Albright, SoCalVal, Alex Shelley, and Necro Butcher.
My feuds coming to an end at the Rumble are:
WHC Christian vs. Gus Richlen WWE Champion Edge vs. Randy Orton Women's Champion Victoria vs. Alexis Laree Jeff Hardy vs. Joey Matthews Undertaker vs. Rhyno
I'll probably have the two heels in the world title feuds (Christian and Orton) win so I can have a face win the Rumble itself.

I guess that's why there's a creative team, as much as we s*** on them. It's a tall, tall order to ask one man to keep all this running without skimping anywhere. Yup, I hear that. That's why I made NXT a third brand, even though EWR isn't roster-split friendly. And even then, wrestlers fall through the cracks. I'll usually try to tie lower midcard wrestlers into major feuds somehow, but it usually doesn't work for very long. Case in point: On Smackdown I had a Derrick Bateman vs Tyson Kidd mini-program, involving Kaitlyn, which therefore sometimes involved AJ and therefore Daniel Bryan, who at one time groomed Tyson Kidd as his apprentice. But when Kidd's morale dropped, I almost considered letting him go to trim the roster and change things a bit. But I had him booked for Survivor Series so I Arsenic'd him back up. I did recently let go of Primo though for the same reason. And then there are guys who'll get over even if you rarely use them. Hunico was a major surprise to me as I only have a chance to use him every once in a while and before I knew it, he was up to Upper Midcard status.

Yeah, I started a WWE game after cleaning up the database, so I don't have to go broke firing 100 people, and the roster is just still too damn big. Guys like Sheamus, ADR, Kane and Mark Henry have nothing to do at all. And so much for fantasy booking, I'm in a scenario that starts with CM Punk and DB as the champs, by the end of December, John Cena and Randy Orton will be the champs. Of course heel Cena with his stable of heels. Gee, I wonder how many times that move has been made in EWR games.

I'm also in a spot where guys like Sheamus, Kane and Mark Henry don't have much to do but I made the mistake of sending too many big names to Raw. Sheamus basically just became Cena's buddy but I'm tempted to have him turn on him eventually. I gave Kane and Mark Henry the Tag titles but I can't imagine a team in my game capable of taking the straps off him. Surprisingly enough, I've gotten Del Rio fairly over even though I broke him away from Ricardo and had him in a pretty one-sided feud against CM Punk.

I had to demote Del Rio and he didn't take it well. The thing I have a hard time getting used to, compared to TEW, is that working means more than winning or losing. In my TEW game everything has to be thought out to keep the momentum levels up and keep it able to be transfered from guy to guy. If I have someone take a month off for kayfabe injury or I just have nothing for them, it doesn't matter. Kind of the opposite in EWR, you can throw them out there and have pointless matches and they're cool with it. Take them off the air for a week, though, and watch out.

I just screwed up today and Christian won the WHC by accident. Whoops. Well, he'll get to keep it for a month since I don't feel like changing the title twice in a week. I want to unify the titles eventually, so it's not the end of the world.
Although it creates one of the worst Survivor Series matchups I can remember, by turning an Orton/Jericho title match into a Christian/Orton/Jericho/Bryan title match.
Undertaker/R-Truth/Sin Cara/Santino vs. Abyss/Kane/Henry/Ziggler
Yeech.
