I am not questioning the actual strategy (imprisoning Cadance, posing as her, feeding off Shining Armor's love for her rendering him hypnotized and helpless), just if she didn't send her threat beforehand, her minions could have attacked immediately instead of waiting for the shield to go down.  Casting the protection shield gave Shining Armor headaches. That allowed Chrysalis to cast spells on him without raising any questions. perhaps not ..... the plan was to infiltrate, DISABLE shining armour by feeding off him (disguised as the medicine for his smaller headaches, due to the protection spell, but as he felt them more and more chrysalis dined on his pain!) and finally have him so weak, as for cantrelot to not have the protection for this "threat" ..... hot AND sneaky that chrysalis  |
