Apropos of nothing, and I'm certainly not bragging, but holy crap, I'm credentialed for 154! I'm not an MMA reporter and you guys certainly have no idea who I am, but this is so cool for me. I've done pretty much every other sport you can think of, but this is my first MMA credential, so I'm flipping out! I have a GSP interview lined up! I'm crapping bricks! Awesome stuff, dude. GSP seems like a class act, so that should be fun.

I love Lil Nog, for reasons that aren't quite clear to me, so I'm down for this.

I look forward to the inevitable announcement of a replacement for one of them three weeks before the show.

I'm going to ask this question about Sonnen/Jones. Why is Dana convinced that doing it on PPV is a good idea? It seems like this is the kind of fight that could a ton of eyeballs on FOX. The best hypeman Dana has against arguably his most mainstream marketable guy would do a good number in prime time. Fans will get to see a dominant performance from one of the best in the world and Sonnen gets embarrassed on a national stage, so really everyone wins here.

I agree, but with this being a "TUF fight," the hype is built on cable, so the pay-off should not be "given away" on free television. I know I'm a Sonnen-hater, and for good reason, but he can gain a little respect back in my eyes IF he turns out to be a good coach, and doesn't "Rampage" it in on the show.

I'm almost positive that the percentage of time he spends actually helpfully coaching vs. the percentage of time he spends jawing pointlessly at Jones is gonna sit at about 20/80.

Sonnen's coaching strategy: 1. Have every member of his team lose their first match. 2. Claim that they are the "greatest TUF team ever created by the greatness that is Sonnen." 3. Every team member gets a guaranteed spot on the UFC roster.

The film editors will make sure of that.

Now it's being reported that UFC wanted TUF 17 to be Chael vs. Rampage but Rampage turned it down. Hmmm...

I wonder why Rampage shot it down, he was trash talking Chael only a few months ago. The interviews alone would have been worth it.

Bonnar/Silva making more sense now. Huge payday to fade into an (eventual) announcing job. Good on him for always being game and one of the people who truly helped launch the sport.
