Babylon 5 is one of the greatest sci-fi series ever. Seasons 2-4 are amazingly compelling, and the last half of season 3 until season 5 makes for one of the best stories to be on television in the 90's. When I was a kid i loved the aliens, but as i got older the fight to take back Earth really impressed me. When I'm playing games, I will still yell "NOW GET THE HELL OUT OF MY GALAXY!".
Season 5 was nowhere near as good, but the opening kicks ass.

watched it on original broadcast and loved it just as much as all the rest of the big broad sci fi shows ..... EXCEPT farscape ..... but i watched that a few years ago, like i did with B5! great stuff, with brilliant interplay with the characters, and claudis christian obviously being a complete hottie in uniform, as well as non-bald mira furlan of course ***coming up ..... MASSIVE SPOILERS so DON'T PEAK, you got the main jist of my post, so don't let me see you coming in here or i'll set BESTER on ya!!!*** {Spoiler} but i didn't just see for the honeys, being a massive scifi fan i wanted FIGHTS ..... big spacy fights ..... and got them by the score YAY AGANEMNON!!!! but so many of the main actors aren't with us anymore, which is a shame, who'd wouldn't want to see LONDO and G'KAR have one last verbal battle ;D shocks of course, with KOSH's appearance to save LONDO and is death at the hands of BOO HISS morden and the shadows, LYTA getting found out, and seeing all their faces at the end of that "fair and balanced" documentary on a day in the life of the station ;D ..... haven't watched the all the movies, but did see all of CRUSADE we now return you to your regularly scheduled broadcast .....

It was also my first real introduction to Lord of the Rings, with all its nods.

Loved the series from what I've seen so far (nearing the end of season 4), but it's a damn tragedy that this show isn't mentioned more online, especially compared to Star Trek. Back in the 90's, it was a pretty big deal on the internet, as well as quite possibly the earliest use of using the internet to build hype for a TV show.
The team up 2 parter with Sheridan and Sinclair was just greatness to the highest order. Plus Zathras.
