15 minutes can make all the difference between "It was a little on the long side, but it was still good" and "Holy S*** this movie just won't end!"

If "Return of the King" ended 15 minutes earlier, nobody would've been mad at them.

I thought Dark Knight went into that territory by just a tiny hair. It's one big flaw (besides the Bat Growl)

They normally do that for movies approaching the 3hr mark.

Although, if this movie sucks... it's going to be soulcrushing bad due to the runtime. A bad movie that is 90 minutes is tolerable. A bad movie that's damn near 3 hours is about as fun as a hemorrhoid.

I'll believe what WB officially puts up. I've heard a few runtimes now (some of them say 3-plus hours).

Interestingly, 2 hours 45 minutes is the maximum amount an IMAX reel can hold IIRC. And the MPAA rating still says NR when it's already been rated PG-13 by now.

movie will kick ass, TDK was amazing, saw it on opening day, loved it, will see this one early too, got no prob sitting for that long, i loved Inception too, same running time, roughly

You're right. I sometimes think I'm the only one who feels this way. I don't care if a film is 70 minutes long or three and a half hours long as long as it's good!

It's not that big a revelation, most major blockbusters run 2-2 and 1/2 hours anyway

You have to also take into consideration the end credits, which can be as long as 5-10 minutes (and i dont think anyone is going to stick around just to see who the animal trainer was).

Actually I love Bane and if we were putting him in ranks I don't see him as "C-grade" that's guys like Calender Man, he's a B-Grade one
