Fine, as in he was stopped, or fine as in he never was gonna do it? An excellent question.

Sigh, I just don't give a damn about him anymore. I'm done; if he wrestles again, I'm not watching any of his matches. Not going to follow any of his tweets or check out any news about him or click on any threads here about him. I don't know the guy and I'm really glad about that. I hope you live a long, healthy life Matt Hardy and can put this foolishness behind you.

It seems you should be able to be arrested for "crying wolf" and interfering with police business because they had to come check on your dumb ass to make sure you didn't do something stupid. Here's the thing.....it's a judgement call thing. The Officer has the authority if there's a complaint to take him to the State Hospital in Raleigh (The Central Mental Health Facility). If nobody WANTS to press charges/the person is "Stable" then the officer isn't compelled to do anything.

Still not going to accept that just yet. He needs someone to keep watch over him.

I wonder if people should contact WWE to get as much of him removed from that site as possible just for this stunt. Have to imagine that if he did actually do it he'd get himself Benoited in no time. Still pretty much think he's faking it, but keep being afraid to refresh and see the headline changed to Matt Hardy Found Dead or something.

Fine, as in he was stopped, or fine as in he never was gonna do it? Unless North Carolina is really different from what I am used to having worked the crime beat as a reporter, if they stopped him from actually doing it, they'd have taken him to the hospital to get checked out as opposed to just leaving.

If there's any shred of anything, he needs to be placed on a 5150.

I believe Matt Hardy is now beyond the Scott Hall/Jake Roberts level of f***ing up a career legacy because of personal problems.

The cops shoulda hauled his ass to the pokey for wasting their time. At least let him spend the night in lock-up. It's the best thing for him, really. He needs to spend a night away from everything. Just...away. Put him in a room alone with just his thoughts and nothing else and, hopefully by the morning, he'll be completely exhausted. Too tired to tweet, or make f***ed-off videos, or anymore Matt Hardy shenanigans.

Doing this in your brother's birthday, even being fake, what a classless thing to do.

I bet Lita thanks God every day she got away from this dumbass. I don't know about God, but she probably thanks Edge.

The cops shoulda hauled his ass to the pokey for wasting their time. At least let him spend the night in lock-up. That sounds like a reasonable punishment. I mean you get 25-30 calls of people thinking someone's gonna kill himself, you might as well make absolutely sure he doesn't. It's astonishing how Matt seemingly can't not do something stupid at every turn. I said it before: I sincerely feel that Matt Hardy's taken so many blows to the head he's suffering of what contributed to Benoit doing what he did. He needs to get his head examined.

If there's any shred of anything, he needs to be placed on a 5150. Here's the problem, though: It's YouTube and Twitter. There's too much ambiguity involved to make a judgment call about his state of mind. If there's even a shred of debate over how the video can be interpreted, then he can't be committed.

I believe Matt Hardy is now beyond the Scott Hall/Jake Roberts level of f***ing up a career legacy because of personal problems. Basically. He's basically a first-ballot inductee for the Hall of F***-Ups.

BTW, I hope everyone is going to unfollow Matt after this. Joking about killing yourself is about as low as it gets.

Exactly. Who's to say he won't do it once the police leave? He needs to be constantly watched. That's just it. He wants to be constantly watched. He's proving time and time again to be nothing but an attention whore who will stoop to the lowest level to get people to say his name. Call me callous, but how many chances does this clown get?
