Because of politics. Eric Bischoff, and apparently Hogan and Dixie Carter all like Hardy. The crowds loves Hardy. That's all there is to it. It's the same way how Shawn Michaels intentionally sabotage his matched with Hogan at Summerslam 2005 and Austin walked out of the WWE twice. As long as you can continue to provide the company some money they'll continue to work with you. That's just the nature of Pro-wrestling. And again, unless hardy does something like Benoit, no company will completely cut off ties with him. In the cases of Austin and Hogan, you weren't dealing with CRIMINAL CHARGES or DRUGS. You were dealing with EGOS. HBK "sabotaged" hogan's match because the original plan was three matches (don't remember who was to be the eventual winner) but it was cut down to one thanks to Hogan BS. So Shawn stuck it to him on camera for what was done off camera. NO LIVES WERE AT STAKE AND NO POLICE WERE INVOLVED. Austin was being a crybaby when he walked out. One case COULD be argued if he wasn't comfortable facing Lesnar, but his reasoning was more related to booking than it was to his personal safety. Again, NO LIVES WERE AT STAKE AND NO POLICE WERE INVOLVED. Kurt Angle has had 3-4 run-ins with the law since signing with TNA. They give him a contract extention and a slap on the wrist. Jeff Hardy has shown that he is otherwise unrepentant thanks to what he did at Victory road. Being that messed up made things UNSAFE (moreso than "typical" TNA) which led to the crapfest that should have had him out on his ass. I don't care how much money you make/made, he put someone's life in danger because he couldn't stay away from what was potentially sending him to jail in the first place! Just to make it clear, I wasn't trying to put Austin and Michaels on the same level as Hardy. Just giving examples of other main eventers who also intentionally were being unprofessional but went along unpunished because of their placement on the card. Like I said before, it's the nature of Pro-Wrestling. Yeah, it's unfair that they dropped like a bad Habit even though Jeff and Kurt have both done worst, but honestly that's just how it is in the "Entertainment Business." HBK "sabotaged" hogan's match because the original plan was three matches (don't remember who was to be the eventual winner) but it was cut down to one thanks to Hogan BS. So Shawn stuck it to him on camera for what was done off camera. NO LIVES WERE AT STAKE AND NO POLICE WERE INVOLVED. Not to mention Shawn's overselling for Hulk actually made the match more entertaining than it would have been had Shawn sold normally. And if anyone else lower in the card had done it, you can bet they would've been giving their walking papers. And as much as I like HBK, I really hate how so many people always try to justify his shenanigans at Summerslam. He was being a dick because Hogan lowballed him with the feud. He shouldn't have pissed on the match to stroke his ego.

From Reby's formspring
"Please tell me someone has taken Matt's license away. He should not be driving right now."
"I took Matt's license. I don't know how, but the cops gave it back to him. Both times."
NC Cops are dumb.

But again, in HBK and Austin's cases, no one was in any physical danger from their unprofessional behavior. Hogan should have done what he originally agreed to - three matches. HBK was trying to be professional and Hogan was stroking HIS ego first. So, HBK (who was a regular) took Hogan (who while a "legend" in the business) down a peg and pseudo-buried him the night after Summerslam for what was hogan's unprofessional behavior. And what HBK did was much more entertaining than watching him have to lay down for Hogan in a straight up match.

The whole innocent until proven guilty thing.

If I'm Reby, though, I hide the keys, every set, or I pay for one of those breathalizer starters in his car.

I'm not an expert on the law by any means, but I find it hard to believe this guy is having accidents left and right, does videos laughing about all the car crashes he's been in and is generally unrepentant, and everyone knows this is a disaster waiting to happen and someone is going to get hurt soon (and probably an innocent person), and they can't figure out SOME WAY to get him to stop driving.

The whole innocent until proven guilty thing. Umm no. Not in Georgia anyway. In 2008 I got arrested for possession of marijuana and DUI drugs. The cop took possession of my license. I eventually got it back...3 years later when they finally dropped the bogus DUI charge and just sentenced me for the possession. My license wasn't actually suspended mind you, the cops just had possession of it. In the situation of Matt Hardy, taking possession of his license and saying "don't drive anymore you f***ing idiot" would have been appropriate.

Reby denied this on Twitter, saying it was merely a speeding ticket for having to rush Matt to the hospital.

We probably would have heard about this in a report if that were the case though. Also who gives someone a ticket when they're rushing someone to the hospital, I call BS

The problem with the breathalizer starter is that it's apparently not that he's driving drunk, he's driving under the influence of drugs/medication. As Matt is quick to point out that he blows a 0.0 every time!

Swing and a miss, Ms. Reyes. Also, someone should tell her that appearing on Date Patrol and commenting on an MTV-2 show doesn't make her a legitimate sports journalist.

I love that she's doing the exact same thing Matt does: trash the dirtsheets and the reporters when they are, in fact, telling the truth.
Matt has found the perfect woman for him.

Seriously can this all be happening to one guy? I mean to get into this much shit in the span of a month? Is it even humanly possible to be this much of a loser?
