Well to be fair Matt did mention in the video that he wanted to announce before TMZ or the dirtsheets got a hold of the story, which is actually pretty smart IMO.

This could be true.

I will withhold any sort of praise of relief until he actually starts taking the steps he needs to take, but really, it's a decent start.

I don't like Matt Hardy anymore, but I don't want him to be a drug addict any more than anyone else. If he can get clean, I'd be happy for him.

Personally I didn't believe the 'tears' and quite frankly I don't believe that he'll stay in rehab. I'm just so turned off to the guy now that anything he says just sounds like 'blah blah blah' to me.

I will take the high (no pun intended) road and wish him well. Maybe he'll prove me wrong.

I'm glad he's doing this although IMO he should have just quietly accepted WWEs rehab offer instead of the big 'look at me' YT post. We would have all still heard about it and took it a lot more seriously if he had of gone this route.

Saying that, I hope he comes out the other side a better person.

Jeff is... seemingly more competent lately. I say that with no small amount of trepidation, though.

Former WWE and TNA star Matt Hardy was arrested on 9/14 following a search warrant being executed on his home in Cameron, North Carolina, according to a statement issued by the Moore County Sheriff's office.
During the search, Deputies seized 20 vials of Anabolic Steroids, 1 "dosage unit of MDMA" (aka Ecstasy), $1,961.00 (which given the amount of money Hardy has made in his career, isn't surprising) as well as unnamed drug paraphernalia.

Hardy has been charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver schedule III controlled substance (the steroids), possession of schedule I controlled substance (the Ecstasy), maintaining a place to keep controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hardy is scheduled for a court appearance in this case on 9/29. He was released upon signing a statement that he would appear in court.

Yesterday, Hardy posted a Youtube video announcing he would be undergoing a three month rehabilitation program sponsored by WWE, which provides such services to formerly contracted talent.

Hardy has court dates scheduled for 9/28 in Moore County (the Driving While Impaired charge that led to his TNA dismissal), 9/29 in Moore County in regard to these new drug charges, a 10/11 court date in Wake County, NC (reckless driving charges), and 11/30 also in Wake County, NC for the Driving Under the Influence charge after being pulled over and arrested at the Raleigh airport.

I haven't read this thread in a few days, I saw there was some traffic so I thought I'd check it out.

Reading the praise/relief for his rehab announcement; seems like everything is taking if not a positive, at least a better turn...

Meet the new Matt, same as the old Matt. I can't help it, every time there's an updateI just want to scraem "you f***ing moron". It's like somewhere in his mind he sees Jeff take a plea and then start back with TNA, and thinks that if HE takes a plea that he'll get rehired.

The rehab thing is now a joke, it's a pre-emptive strike for the impending charges and nothing more. I said I was done giving a damn, but at this point it just screams "I'm unable to take care of myself, someone do something".
