Well, that wedges that door open for Rene Dupree. He hasn't been in All Japan for ages, he moved back to New Brunswick. Is AJPW even that strong anymore? I thought it was mostly NJPW and NOAH's game nowadays. AJ is ahead of NOAH. All Japan has it's up and downs but people pay attention when they make noise. NOAH is just NOAH. As much as I'd like this to happen, this rumor probably comes from Nash working All Japan since he's under a WWE Legends deal. A New Japan deal would make more sense. Their owner (Bushi Road) just sponsored WWE shows in Japan, their roster is more suited for WWE and they're the biggest promotion. Although, they sort of seem like they want to challenge WWE and gain popularity outside of Japan.

All Japan is above Noah. Noah has been on a deathbed since 2009

Think it's more likely to be undercard guys sent over, and WWE then getting access to All Japan's tape library, particularly for the gaijin. Maybe some All Japan guys will come over, but in drips and drabs.

New Japan are indeed attempting to be a competitor rather than work with WWE - they've just secured a deal for English language programming. One of my friends is doing the commentary for it.

The "rumor" comes from Tokyo Sports which is a daily newspaper over there so I'd assume this isn't really a rumor at all as opposed to coming from somewhere like SuperLuchas.

Depends on how reliable Tokyo Sports is.

When he leaves with the WWE title, maybe Punk can go defend it in All Japan Pro Wrestling.

The more I think about it, the more they might want to do stuff with Muta for how much he worked with a lot of guys in WCW.

If this is true, I don't care if both men are damn near 50 with silly putty for knees, I NEED an Undertaker/Great Muta match. Hell, give me Taker/Keiji Mutoh, I just want these two to go all out and wreck each other.

I could see a potential Taker vs Muta mania match. Maybe Taker wins at Mania, Muta wins at the following paper view, and then the rubber match has some uber craziness happen which gives Muta an out to go back to Japan. They just need to acknowledge that The Great Muta is a legend on par with guys like Michaels and HHH, rather than some random supernatural jabroni. Make Muta a threat and wreck some people. I don't want it to feel like shortly after a Taker feud, that Muta will be taking english lessons from Santino or immersing in American culture like Hakushi. Muta should come in as a killer.
While it might not be an in for Rene Dupree any more, maybe Joe Doering gets another chance. It would also be awesome to see someone like Taiyo Kea or Suwama in a WWE ring destroying people. Shuji Kondo would be great in the E if utilized.
Of course, this also works for the younger talents that could benefit from some extra seasoning. Perhaps send McIntyre, McGillicutty, Dallas and Steamboat Jr. over for 6 months or so. I think the excursion idea is a great idea. Seems to work well for New Japan.

This could be such a great thing if it actually happens.

1) They have reached an agreement to officially call this "The Alliance to End Hulkamania"
2) This is just a way to quietly get Tensai back to Japan before releasing him.

Heath Slater gets sent to AJPW, comes back as the One Man Visual Kei.
He then proceeds to win every match because his opponents forfeit due to not wanting to wait 20 minutes for Slater to get his elaborate entrance costumes off.

Muta vs Taker needs to happen for the entrances alone.

Slater would probably just find himself being pinned while in his entrance attire. Unless its Ryback of course, Ryback would just lariat Slater out of it. Would be amusing if he had the Visual Kei thing going on while still acting like the one man southern rock band with that dance thing he does. He'd also have to do jobs similar to Disco Inferno where he submits cause he doesn't want to screw up his make up.

They can have a light heavyweight title without having to build it.
