Source: 411Mania via PWInsiderDoes this mean cross-promoted shows in Japan? Talent exchanges? Take this with a grain of salt until we get word from some other sources, but let's get some thoughts on the matter.

If this comes to pass, this could mean some guys could have tours and gain some additional experience and help give them something to do besides waste away on Superstars and NXT. Also, developmental people that need a little extra help could benefit from it as well.

Is AJPW even that strong anymore? I thought it was mostly NJPW and NOAH's game nowadays.

I think AJPW and NOAH are about level these days. Hopefully this means Suwama, KAI, Seiya Sanada and GET WILD~! in WWE, plus some of the young WWE guys in All Japan.

Maybe it means Yoshi will get to wrestle again on Raw someday.

I say send Brodus Clay over there to get better in the ring as well. I just wonder what WWE would do with AJPW wrestlers?

This could be epic if done right, with the amount of things they can do between the two companies. I hope this is true and I can't wait to hear more. Also if this does bring Tajiri back (even though he hasn't been with AJPW since last year) then that would be incredible.

Interesting if it happens. Wish it was with New Japan though.

Interesting if it happens. Wish it was with New Japan though. Yeah I'm sort of surprised given that WWE and NJPW have a pretty good relationship. I haven't followed AJPW in forever so I have no clue how their roster is but whatever this is the type of thing WWE needs to be doing. It's a perfect place to send guys like JTG or D-Mac or DiBiase or even NXT wrestlers (Hollywood Express, for instance). Likewise they could bring over AJPW guys for stuff and to help flesh out the roster even if it's just for special attraction matches. If they could partner with a lucha company, a joshi company (STARDOM would be perfect) and maybe a couple of indies for similar reasons that'd be for the best.

I will say, no matter what, I will LOVE this, if it means we get to see Shuji Kondo in America. I love that crazy bastard.

NOAH has been in a increasingly rapid decline since 2009. Oh, that's right. Didn't someone at NOAH get busted with Yakuza ties or something to cause that? It wasn't just that, it's the fact all their big name guys are old and they've failed to build any new stars because they were riding the wave of still having Misawa, Kobashi, Taue, Akiyama and freelance vets like Kawada and Sasaki. They had younger guys but it was mostly in the Jr. Heavyweight ranks and when they tried to elevate one of them (Marufuji) it backfired. The s***ty economy (the Lost Decade is more Lost Decades since it's still never really recovered) and MMA taking interest away from pro wrestling are also pretty big factors.

Except for those times when it already did. WWF did "Wrestling Summits" with AJPW and SWS in the 90's. Three or four shows if I remember correctly.
