This thread is to discuss upcoming programming for this season on the glorious boob tube.
To be quite honest, if there's a network that I feel will not have any success with programming, it's not NBC, and it's certainly not the CW (I'll talk about that later), but FOX.
They've hyped the hell out of "X Factor" (which will succeed due to heavy hype and a fresh take on the talent search compared to the antiseptic "American Idol"), and "Terra Nova" (which may succeed, but it can't go as a full series that lasts several years due to the monumentally heavy production costs), but the other programs they have depicted... yeesh. Especially the horrors of "In the Flow with Affion Crockett".
As for the CW... the Dawn Ostroff era is finally OVER, but her poisonous, one-track mind influence remains as she chose the new programming for this season, in which all three new shows join six of the seven existing programs that are around full-time in catering to solely one demographic. I predict in a few years, the CW will join MyNetwork TV and the ion Network as stations that, due to incompetence, will just air syndicated programming.

I have to wonder if , with Chris Meloni not coming back and Mariska Hartigay taking less of a role, if viewers will bolt Law & Order: SVU and cause that show to be cancelled after this season.

I'm only somewhat interested in "The X-Factor", just to see how good these contestants are. My wife's cousin is an unbelievable singer (her voice can bring you to tears just from how powerful it is) and she tried out for it a couple of months ago. She didn't get called back.  And screw the CW for cancelling Hellcats. |

From what I know regarding the fall season,Glee will have several of the main stars graduating,also the office has still yet to reveal who is replacing michael scott at dundler mifflin and from what I know most of the ABC wednesday comedys are coming back,with the renewal of happy endings,I see them maybe done with cougar town and mr.sunshine but who knows(I am only guessing due to the weird spots they put those shows on wednesdays)

I'm looking forward to the third season premiere of Archer on Sept 15, even though I think FX is only showing three episodes in the fall and holding off on the rest of the season until early 2012.
