^ Nope. It won't have a Cell. Without a Cell, it won't be BC to the PS3. So if it's coming out in 2014, what's the point, exactly in buying games in the next 12-16 months? Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming out in March, meaning I'd have just a year to play it before my system kinda starts becoming obsolete?

Well what was the point to buying NES games when the SNES came out, or SNES games when the N64 came out or N64 games when the GameCube came out?
It isn't like gamers haven't had to deal with this situation before.

The lack of BC means that I will likely break with my own tradition and not buy the PS4 on it's launch day as I have the other three because I dont want two systems clogging up space and there likely will be PS3 games I still want to play coming out, and coming out cheaper, at the time. Disappointing. On top of that, if the pre-owned lock out thing is implemented, and XBOX dont follow the same route, I will switch consoles.

I doubt there will be a "pre-owned lock out" implemented on ANY console. That is just one of the stupidest f***ing things out there.

Anyways, the new PS Store redesign is officially out there. I'm not sure on how I feel about it to be honest.

I dunno, the Kotaku leak from a few months back is seeming pretty spot on with this new information, and the big thing it revealed that hasnt really been mentioned since is that pre-owned lock out.
It's a scary sounding development.

It's a scary sounding development. Sony has already said they are not doing that, I am not sure if MS rebuffed it or not.

What Sony say and what Sony do.....I'll believe it when we get an official statement with an actual made console

What exactly are we talking about here because it sounds bad and I don't even have the details, but seeing as 99% of my games are pre-owned, this sounds really bad potentially.

There are two theories as to what this means. First it means all preowned games are locked out. Only new copies can be played. That's the worst case scenario. The other theory is all games come with a one time use activation code. Without the code you can't play, but you of course can buy a new code. Basically think the online pass code a lot of games have right now, but it gives you access to the entire game instead of just the online mode. The second one is less evil because it still allows for preowned sales.

And let us be honest, they will never fully lock out used games because of how it'd hurt their relations with Gamestop, something none of the console makers can afford to do until we get full digital distribution.

Also even with the patch to AC3 I am still getting some funny graphical glitches like enemies on rooftops floating above the rooftop, muskets falling through.....everything from the ground to wood posts. Also randomly floating muskets and of course character mouths barely moving during conversations.

Connor had a musket penis for a while for me, that was sad but funny. I had a guy I was following walk through a hill I had to go over and he went out of rang so I failed the mission. I have had a few others I am with jump in water and die when I am no where near the damned water myself.
This game is fun despite itself. But it also feels like it has no identity. It feels less like an AC game, and more like they stuck Uncharted, Snake Eater, and Red Dead Redemption in to one world.

And now a mission marker high in the sky where I cannot go, and Achilles cane floating around up there as well.

That being said I am LOVING the revamped combat, especially the new counter system.

Um, you guys. The whole pre-owned lockout is only a thing because Microsoft applied for a patent on a method to lock discs to a single console. Being worried about Sony here is like being worried that the water being sprayed on your house is going to burn it down, not the fiery tree next to it.

Just finished the Splinter Cell trilogy and I'm quite annoyed and thankful I'm done. I normally stick games out unless they are offensively bad which this wasn't.........just annoying. Very, very annoying
I never played them first time around on the PS2 so this was all new for me and whilst it had some good parts to it, a few major flaws ruined it for me. Like in the first 2 games whenever I made a slight noise it seemed like most of the time a bad guy locked on and followed me no matter where I went till he caught me. Not to mention the 1st 2 games also looked ugly as sin
I was actually really enjoying Chaos Theory until the last few missions when it seemed to forget it was a stealth game
On the positive side, it was quite cheap so when I trade it in I'll make 80% of my money back

So I finally played around with the new store. I don't mind it that much. What I do dislike is the long initial boot up time for the store. The old store would load in seconds, this one takes closer to a minute to load.
