CM Punk should have stopped doing the GTS years ago, I guess.

If you're familiar with weight training, and you're familiar with body building, you can very easily tell where Ryback is putting his emphasis when it comes to his workout. Is he natural? 100% no. Natural mass with that cut would take about 50 hours a week and a diet followed to a T to obtain. He's either juicing or harmoning, doing extensive underweight/oversets, and eating high fats/carbs late at night to get the mass and rip. It explains why he's showing strength issues in the ring. Most dudes with freakish strength with the aid of juice/hgh are not very ripped. They're just large masses who are doing bulk weight sets to build strength. Ryback is going for the look. He appears to be awfully uncoordinated and has very minimal lower back/squat strength. IMO, that's why he's having a problem with the strength moves. I'm not calling him weak by any imagination, but I would venture to say that his overall awkwardness and relatively average lifter strength with an abnormal frame makes it difficult for him to pull off the moves he's trying to do. JMHO, but a guy like Albert could probably deadlift or outsquat Ryback any day of the week. Strength is not typical with a build like Ryback. It's a show body, and he appears to be VERY uncoordinated and shows minmial athleticism. Even if a guy like Heyman were sandbagging you, there's no reason Ryback shouldn't be forcing him up unless he's just going hardcore synthetic and max-repping lighterweights. If he's not getting 100% help from a worker, he's not pulling off his finisher. Fortunately, when he does botch, it doesn't look like anyone is going to get hurt, it will just make him look like a clown. Win/Win I'm not sure if you're familiar with weight lifting if you're talking about someone needing 50 hours of workout a week to get to any body type. Even pro bodybuilders don't work out that long, as that would be considered overtraining, even with steroids. The days of people needing an Arnold Schwarzenegger workout to get big have long since been disproven. The 50 hours was obviously an exaggeration. The point, that I may have helped get lost there, was that they're booking him and giving him a moveset because of his look. In actuality, it doesn't appear that he has the strength to go with it. I think they're confusing his body with what he really is. Huge as all hell, but from the looks of things, not exactly the most athletic, strongest, or polished guy in the world. Make no mistakes, when he's "lifting" two guys to hit his finisher, those guys are pretty much doing all the work. It's just his job to stay balanced and not drop them. And the bigger the spot he's in, the longer he's gonna have to go in the ring, that will take more toll on him trying for his power set at the end of the match. Not getting Heyman up is more on Heyman because Ryback needs all the help he can get to pull the move off. The guy is no Mark Henry. He's ripped and jacked as hell, but having the strength to go with it is usually the exception, not the rule. Give Ryback the spinebuster, give him the Bossman Slam. Two moves that look great delivered by a guy with his look, and would require little for him to pull off.

CM Punk should have stopped doing the GTS years ago, I guess. Eh, I hate the GTS, but Punk seems to stay away from it when working with the bigger guys. He seems to be working his version of the uranage into the Vice a lot more frequently.

I think KENTA could actually hit a good GTS on a guy like Henry.

The biggest person Kenta hit it on was Misawa (I don't think he landed it vs Kobashi). Kenta uses the Buisaiku Knee Kick vs bigger guys

I'd buy the Meathook clothesline as a finisher. Maybe down the line that'll happen.

Kenta uses the Buisaiku Knee Kick vs bigger guys KENTA has hit the GTS on Takeshi Morishima & Yoshihiro Takayama (both 300 pounds, at least), and he did it with relative ease. The way he's used his strength to hit the GTS on people, often catching people his size in mid-air and muscles them up, I have no doubt he could hit it on a guy like Henry.

What's funny is that WWE normally doesn't go after house show footage. In fact, they used house show fan cams to promote Primo and Epico winning the tag team titles.

When your whole gimmick is being a big, strong monster of a man and you can't consistently pull off a strength-based finisher like that, it's time to reframe the character you're working on. I wish his gimmick was the big, strong guy who can't pick people up and doesn't understand why. "but my muscles.... THEY'RE SO BIG! I DON'T UNDERSTAND!" Would mark. They do all his all his promos with him constantly holding a protein shake (like Julian from Trailer Park Boys), backstage, in the ring, he only attacks opponents if they spill his drink. "Don't you understand! I'm trying to get bigger" All his matches are short since he needs to hit the gym. Give him a personal trainer as a manager.

If anything else, it isn't because he isn't strong...it's because he's gassed. Even the strongest guys will have difficulty lifting something if they're tired. Maybe he should invest in some cardio.

It was, I probably worded it poorly, I mean, just take the idea of Julian permanently holding a Rum and Coke with Ryback and protein shakes.
