I live in Georgia and I have seen Georgia Tech screw up some of UGA's seasons before. One scenario non-SEC fans can hope for is for Tech to beat Georgia and then Georgia beating Alabama. Florida would sneak in without seeing the Con title game like Bama Last year.

As a Florida State fan I can say that I hope we can prevent Florida getting in next week.

San Jose State recovers a fumble with about 1:16 left, will hang on to beat BYU 20-14.

For the record, the 2006 Rose Bowl- AKA the Texas-USC epic- is still the last national title game without an SEC team.

SEC SEC SEC My guys SUCK this year, but even so SEC SEC SEC I don't think Arkansas' luck is going to get any better on Friday I'm afraid. I'd agree. Stranger things have happened in the game with LSU, but with the way this season has gone.. it'll be another curb stomping. Hopefully Tyler Wilson plays well on his way to the NFL. At this point, I'm way more interested in who's gonna be head coach. This has been a PAINFUL season.

Thing is that it seems no matter how bad Arkansas or LSU are, the team that's the worst of the two somehow finds a way to play their hearts out in that game and make it interesting. But yeah, this year with the way things have been going with Arkansas, I see at the very least a 3 score win for LSU.

f*** my life. We were on the cusp of a no-SEC title game yet are now back at the chance of another all SEC title game. What the f*** happened K-State?! What the f*** happened Oregon?!

I'm going on a limb- Mettenberger regresses on Black Friday and Arkansas knocks LSU down to the Outback Bowl.

Karl Dorrell, 2006.
Dave Wannstedt, 2007.
Paul Rhoades, 2011.
Art Briles and David Shaw, 2012.
These are the coaches who have basically bailed out the SEC when they were out of the title hunt.

I will say though that after OU's lack of defense today, the Bedlam game just got interesting real quick. If they bring that defense against OK State, they just might lose for a third time at home this year.

OK, getting back to non top 5 team stuff from today:
the ACC title game, for only the 2nd time since 2007, will NOT feature VaTech. Thank goodness.
NC State- HOW in the world did they beat Florida State? They've been defensively boatraced by Miami, Clemson, North Carolina, and Virginia. It's like a less-publicized equivalent of what Baylor did tonight.
Tennessee- as recently as 15 years ago, they were ELITE. Now, they can't win at Vandy.
Are we gonna have a BCS buster at all? La. Tech lost? KENT STATE TO THE BCS?! (somebody's gotta finish ahead of the Big 10 or Big East champ)
So, what are some of the non-BCS bowl games you'd like to see?

Well, jamofpearls, I'm sure you must have sacrificed SOMETHING to the football gods. After all, they bent over backwards FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT NOVEMBER to bail out a Bama home loss courtesy of a Baylor win and Oregon loss.
At this point, I just want ONE NATIONAL TITLE GAME WITH NO SMUG EGO CONFERENCE TEAMS!
SEC football- where apparently they HAVE to play for every stinking title.

What makes this year even worse is that all of the SEC teams have lost, and yet we could have an all SEC title game. :-\
I still say it is because so many SEC teams are ranked high early in the season, and everything after that just takes care of itself. If nearly every team in the conference is ranked that means they won't drop that far down the polls should they lose in conference, unless of course they happen to lose to one of the few unranked SEC teams, and at this point if an SEC team isn't ranked it means that team sucks.
It is a self-perpetuating system now, I tells ya. The way things are going right now with how the SEC dominates the rankings year in and year out, I wouldn't be shocked if once the 4 team playoff starts we might have a year where all 4 teams in the playoff are SEC teams. And don't say that is impossible. People thought it would be impossible for a national title game between two teams from the same division in the same conference, yet that happened, so a 4 team playoff being comprised of 4 teams from the same conference is very possible. Highly unlikely, sure, but it can still happen.

You what the best thing about all the anti SEC frustration is? All the anti SEX frustration. Your anger warms my heart. You want different teams in there than let your team win. Polls are always subjective but I love them and college football is what it is in part because of them. I would prefer a big 12 v SEC title game but until a Big 12 team is proven better than another SEC team across the board, we face the possibility of SEC v SEC.

So called self perputating system woulda been solved if either Or or KState wouldn't have gagged. No grand SEC conspiracy made them not take care of their own shit. That's on them. And the rankings always bear out top teams regardless of where teams are at start of season. Accuse bias all ya want, but we'll say the same thing we have for six years- "win out, and beat 'em." Proof is in the titles/pudding.
