{Spoiler}Having watched the other two movies again tonight I can say that this one was definitely taken to another level. I don't know how they were able to pack so much into it to be honest. I would have been fine with an extra 15 minutes of duration, as even though I really enjoyed the final montage of scenes in the aftermath they could have really taken their time with it. The final image of Blake standing inside the cave, while the floor below him moved up to cover the screen is one of the most creative and possibly best ways i have ever seen a movie end. I want to badly see him in a Robin trilogy now, in the same Nolan universe (or inspired by as Nolan has said he wouldn't direct it).
An incredible trilogy and I will probably appreciate the movie more on my next cinema viewing of it.

{Spoiler}Did Talia really die? She may of just passed out. And what was the time frame from Bruce having sex with Tate/Talia and the final scenes? Why? Oh just asking. {Spoiler}You thinking what I think you are? Like I said, I was fully expecting Miranda to turn out to be Talia. So when they had sex, I was think Damian as well.

Personally, I thought - though to be fair, seen one a lot more times than the other so it's not as special to me - that it was better than Dark Knight. Couple of problems I have with Dark Knight are that the scale of it isn't nearly on the same level as Begins or Rises, and that it feels a little too choppy and unfocused - up until Rachel dies there isn't really much of a straight plot there beyond Joker doing things. Plus I think Bane's a better villain than Joker is, again in part because of scale.

I think im gonna go re-watch it on cheap night, so i can get some better AVX seats. Does anyone think they may be able to pull off a Robin/Nightwing/Red Hood franchise with JGL?? Or is it time just to start thinking JLA with Man Of Steel being the starting point??

Don't agree that Bane was better then Joker Heath Ledger = Better Performance Tom Hardy = Better Villain I would go as to say that. But he did come up with some great points about how much we've seen Joker and how little we've seen of Bane in the movie universe. Not to mention, Bane's motives were a bit more thought out and well-deceived than Joker's. Joker was there to arm the explosives, Bane was there to push the detonation button.

Just got back. It started late because the theater was evacuated earlier after the fire alarm went off. Seriously! Anyway, I likes the the second half much more than the first. But overall, I thought the movie was sort of rushed. But two things: {Spoiler} I should've expected Talia's reveal at the end, but I totally forgot about her character being Ra Al Guls daughter. And damn, I loved Cillian Murphy's cameo. I like that the Scarecrow kept coming back.

There's no doubt in my mind that if Heath Ledger was still alive... {Spoiler}The Joker would have had the role that Scarecrow did. That being said, there is no way shape or form that Bane was the better villain then the Joker in this series of films. Though Two-Face is still the best villain from this series in my opinion.

I disagree with your spoiler, as I think the entire movie/series would have changed if he were alive.

{Spoiler}Although I don't think people should have to use spoiler tags as you could just put spoilers in the title, and anyone who hasn't seen the movie should know to avoid the thread but enough about that.
I loved the movie, it was over the top epic, although a little too much at times. I am definitely going to have to re-watch Begins and The Dark Knight to see which one is the best I think Rises is at least close in quality.
I do think that they could have made the Talia twist at the end a lot less predictable I saw it coming a mile away (About 30-40 minutes before it happened I put it together which for someone like me that gets fooled by twists easily means it wasn't well played).
A few other small things bothered me but all in all Nolan is awesome and really captured Batman in a way that only the 90's animated series did and that's about as close to perfect as it can be.
Nolan is done and honestly they should just leave this trilogy perfect or as close to perfect as you are going to get. Must get the Blu Ray Trilogy when it comes out, definitely want to see all three back to back to back.

{Spoiler}I do wish that Nolan would have introduced new characters in "Rises" in the last film. He had the same problem in "The Dark Knight." I would have been much more sympathetic to Dent, or Ramirez, or Mayor Garcia had they been in "Batman Begins." Even if they had a small part in a couple of scenes, something. The same could be said for Blake, Tate, and Foley in this film. Signpost for people in previous installments why these characters matter and why we should care about these characters who are supposed to matter in the first place.
Why do we care if Lando Calrissian survives in "Return of the Jedi"? Because we were made to care about him in "The Empire Strikes Back." Why is Saruman's heelish nature in "The Two Towers" so effective? Because we saw him turn heel in "Fellowship of the Ring." It actually makes the films feel much more organically like a trilogy, a story told in three parts. This is why "Star Wars" and "The Lord of the Rings" persist as successful and popular trilogies. Even by this metric, "The Lord of the Rings" is much more successful at being a story told in three parts than "Star Wars," since "Star Wars" (Episode IV) is pretty self-contained. The problem I have with "Rises" is that to tie "Begins" and "TDK" to this new installment, Nolan relies too heavily on expositive flashbacks to fill the logic gaps (as well as plot gaps specific to the narrative that "Rises" tells) that ultimately demonstrates how tenuous these connections are.
