I will say, as cold to the movie as I am, that damn 'Rise' chant is stuck in my head, even if I don't know how to say it correctly. I just say it "ALTO! ALTO! HEH! HEH!" Deshi deshi basara basara. So THAT is how you say it. I honestly thought when I first saw the trailer that they were chanting, "This is Gotham!". Of course that doesn't make any sense when you hear it in the Pit.

damn yall missed a lil contest theyhad where you could actually record yourself saying that, then they'd mix it into the actual product. I wonder how many ppl were pumped to hear themselves though.

Just got back. I absolutely loved it. Took a while to get going but once it did it was sensational. {Spoiler}And the thing about the Mrianda/Talia twist. I was waiting for it, I admit. But I never expected them to trick us by giving her Bane's backstory. But there's a trend in Nolan's Batfilms where he's completely fair with the audience. Nobody said Bane was the child who escaped. Bruce just assmues that he was. Just like in Begins nobody says Ken Wanatabe's characters is Ra's al Ghul. Bruce (and the audience) just assume that he is. And quite honestly, this is probably the one of Nolan's Batmovies that is closest to the comic. I could do a whole checklist of things that were taken straight form the comics. For example: {Spoiler}Bane being a member of the League of Shadows/Assasins, possibly being the son of Ra's al Ghul and being in love with Talia is right out of Bane of the Demon.
And of course Bane temporarily crippling Batman. Also: {Spoiler}The ending. It just seems very un-Batman for Bruce to fake his death and f*** off to Italy, abandoning his Batman identity. {Spoiler}I though so oo at first. But then I realised it was perfectly inkeeping with THIS Batman. He was never that obsessive or dedicated to "the mission" above all else like other versions of him. From the start he made it clear he was only doing this until Gotham didn't need him any more. And by the end of Rises he has achieved that. Crime in the city is managable, he's past the baton on to someone else. It makes perfect sense he's use that opportunity to retire.
And I'm glad he ended up with Selina because they're my OTP. {Spoiler}"Deus Ex Robin" Blake figures out Batman's identity 'cos he's "practiced that smile" in the mirror but Gordon really didn't have a clue??? {Spoiler}Gordon has gotten to the point where he doesn't care who Batman is. He says so in the movie and it's consistant with the comics where Batman takes off his mask to show him who he is (In No Man's Land I believe but I don't remember clearly) and Gordon turns his back.

Was pretty good but not as good as Dark Knight. At least Bale's Batman voice wasn't that bad this time around

I cannot honestly believe I did not figure out the twist near the end. It was RIGHT THERE!
Goddam genius.

Thought the film was great, but like everyone says not a as great as The Dark Knight.
It's the 'Return of the Jedi' of the series without the cute marketing gimmicks. And hopefully not sucky prequels to follow in 15 years time.
A satisfying ending to the movie trilogy... YAY!
So, what do we do now?

One thing I was disappointed by.... Selina Kyle's apartment..... Where were the cats?
Not one cat. Come on Nolan. You had cats in The Prestige.

"Coulda, woulda shoulda" doesn't mean he got the job done. He never got that win back in my eyes, by wrestling standards Bane won by DQ.... No wait Talia interfered first!!!
