I thought WWE DID knock before [sometime early this year, IIRC], but ROH didn't allow him to go. Must admit I hadn't heard that. Sooner rather than later though regardless of his ROH contract or anything else I think Cole will make his way to WWE.

WWE would probably never go for El Genericho unless he took a hell of a lot of steroids. And even if he was brought in, he'd be so vastly underused that you might as well forget that he got into WWE.
Smart picks would be Drake Younger, 'Psycho' Mike Rollins, Jimmy Jacobs, and Ethan Page.

I don't know if any PWG dudes will get signed. It seems like most of them get over by saying f*** constantly.
And Elgin? Yeah, good luck. He's a stumpy little guy with the face of a pig. Let's see how long that'll last in WWE.

Let's see how long that'll last in WWE. As I said, I could see Elgin as someone's muscle in the E, but there's a lot of guys already signed that could fill that role. I see Elgin having a better chance in Japan. As for PWG guys getting over by dropping the F-bomb, I think they do it because they can, not because they have to. Though the Brian Cage thing did happen to get over. Everyone digs calling him a f***ing machine.

Just based on some news and events that have recently come to light, my money would be on either Mike Bennett or Sami Callihan.

Isn't Sami really short? Though that's less of an issue nowadays.

Yes, he's about 5'8" or 5'9" as well. But as guys like Danielson and Evan Bourne have shown in recent years, there's a spot for smaller guys if they bring something unique to the table. Callihan clearly does, as he's far from a cookie cutter generic wrestler.

Sooner rather than later though regardless of his ROH contract or anything else I think Cole will make his way to WWE. Why do people still spread that lie? It's been proven to be false, WWE didn't contact Cole and ROH didn't block him Cornette made fun of that stupid rumour with a pic if him blocking a door as Cole and the Briscoes tried to leave

I thought WWE DID knock before [sometime early this year, IIRC], but ROH didn't allow him to go. Yeah AC was one of a couple guys who ROH wouldn't allow to go last year. It was Cole, I THINK the Briscoes, and there was one more that was kind of surprising. Just another name to throw out there, Rich Swann Refer to my other post ROH didn't block anyone, it was confirmed to be a dirtsheet rumour and ROH even mocked it

What works are you leaving in where Portia needs to eat a sandwich? Huh? What world sorry. I just watched Wrestlinh is Awesome, she's noticeably put on weight. I'd almost call her pudgy compared to how ripped Saturyne is. I don't think she's pudgy but I'm sure some guys would say that. She definitely isn't in need of a sandwich though

Portia now compared to Portia a couple of years ago is in a much more natural shape. She was overdoing her exercises, which ended up leading to her back injury.

Kevin Steen maybe? I know he doesn't have the look WWE typically goes for but that hasn't stopped them before.

So, with the exception of 7 or 8 of their most pushed new additions, they don''t want those type of wrestlers? ;D If it were one exception, fine. But they've essentially proven over the past 3-4 years of new additions that they aren't as closed minded as they had been previously when it comes to look, size, and style. It's mentioned in the Observer every week. They are not actively in pursuit of wrestling establishing themselves on the indies. They want college athletes instead thinking these are the types with money drawing potential. It's a stupid mindset to have given that more than likely these college athletes are not real fans. WWE is resentful of anyone who leaves them on their own. Well they will get more of this with these college athletes, while indy workers have real passion and are more likely to stick around for awhile. The types that WWE talent relations is currently scouting are likely not fans and they probably see wrestling as con that they can milk money out of and eventually leave behind. See Brock Lesnar. Not to mention this mindset is so flawed given that there haven't been many success stories over the years other than Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar. They have Dolph, but he was a fan growing up. It's funny that WWE actually had someone in developmental with this background and he was recently cut. Shouldn't that send a message to WWE. WWE just doesn't understand that fans want entertaining personalities and they could care less about sports backgrounds. You still just listed like 7-8 exceptions. Thats almost half of the guys they really push. Truth is, they DO mix is up. Thats probably their greatest asset. The ability to pull in all those types and see if they can cut it. If they can't, they probably won't make past developmental. If they do, well there's a win.

Cabana and Generico both have no shot. I knew I bookmarked this post for a reason. Didn't think it would be this soon though ;D

Re-reading this thread was entertaining. Listening to some of Colt's podcasts though I'm under the impression he has no desire to go back to the WWE anytime soon. Dude was miserable in developmental
