I thought of this thread when I saw the El Generico one in the WWE forum. I didn't remember so many people saying Generico had little to no chance of being signed.
Anyways, re: Michael Elgin. I was at an indy show last summer and happened to be backstage when Tommy Dreamer was back there giving Elgin advice on his match, and his look in general. The one thing that stood out to me was when Dreamer said, "cut your hair, get rid of the mullet, it stands out and not in a good way."
Could never decide if I agreed with Dreamer or not, but I guess if he was onto something they could easily just ask him to cut his hair.

The thing with Dreamer is not only did he work in the WWE offices and scout for them but he is still there every week so I'd think if he's saying something like that, it's probably damned good advice.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that Sami Callihan and Adam Cole are getting WWE tryouts - this will be Sami's second.

Let him be the Panama City Playboy and he'll make money. As much as I love Sami and hope he gets a job, he's gonna need a lot of time in development as his move set isn't really made for WWE style. Though the Stretch Muffler is a cool submission hold.

Though the Stretch Muffler is a cool submission hold. Adam Cole's heel run in PWG is pretty damn awesome and what I've seen of his CZW heel run has been gold. I don't think Calihan would have to adjust too much. His version of the Stretch Muffler could get over easily as a dangerous submission finisher.

Dreamer still works for WWE? Backstage you mean? I didn't know he was still there every week, but if true I think that's awesome.

No, he doesn't work for them in terms of having a contract or anything like that, just he is at Titan Towers more now than when he actually had an office job according to reports and still gets calls from people in WWE about guys on the indies everyday. Basically he has more sway now than when he actually had his office job.
