I would love any combination of Mark Henry, Christian, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Gangrel (with entrance), Brock Lesnar, Kaval, Billy Gunn, Scotty 2 Hotty, Funaki, Undertaker, Kurt Angle (not likely in any way but would be awesome, especially with his theme), Jeff Hardy (again not likely but would be great) to be surprise entrants. With most of them coming back full time (except from Gangrel, Lesnar, Gunn obviously) to help the mid/upper-mid card.
The by the numbers video has been made, its mostly the same as last years but they have changed the ending montage like the normally do. Personally I would have used Champion at the end of the By the Numbers video package and used What makes a good man for The Rock vs CM Punk video package, What Makes a Good Man suites the Rock vs Punk story a lot more than the Royal Rumble in my opinion. I am still looking forward to seeing the Del Rio vs Big Show and Rock vs Punk promos though, and see which one Champion gets used for.

Miz/Cesaro is on the pre show. Huh that seems like a waste. They could have saved that match for the Elimination chamber ppv or if they want Mania.

Back to my theory and why I chose Barrett to win the rumble. If Miz wins the U.S. title on the pre-show, maybe Cesaro's chances increase dramatically as he can focus on stepping up in the next two months? I'd like to see face latino hero Del Rio vs Pro-America-Anti-American Cesaro for the gold. I wouldn't get my hopes up for that idea, but it sounds great to me.

Miz/Cesaro is on the pre show. Huh that seems like a waste. They could have saved that match for the Elimination chamber ppv or if they want Mania. I don't think this was a feud that they'd save for anything. I think the Cesaro/Miz feud is just filler to give Cesaro a "name" to go over and to keep Miz semi relevant due to the lack of main event heels. Miz isn't a real contender because he's above the title, but having Miz step down to go after the U.S. Title, which has pretty much the new European/TV title ever since TLC 2011, seems easier than building up a new contender for Cesaro. I think that Creative felt that they needed to blow off the Cesaro/Miz feud ASAP so they can insert Miz into one of the two Elimination Chamber matches. So we know Ryback, Daniel Bryan and Kane are in the Rumble and it's likely Rhodes and Sandow are there too. The rest of those guys were probably just filler for tonight. There has to be some filler, because I did a count of guys that appeared on last night's melee, and if you went by that, your Rumble match looks like this. 1.John Cena 2.Sheamus 3.Titus O'Neil 4.Darren Young 5.Randy Orton 6.The Miz 7.Kane 8.Daniel Bryan 9.Antonio Cesaro 10.Heath Slater 11.Jinder Mahal 12.Drew McIntyre 13.Damien Sandow 14.Cody Rhodes 15.Primo 16.Epico 17.Justin Gabriel 18.Curt Hakwins 19.Kofi Kingston 20.Brodus Clay 21.Great Khali 22.Yoshi Tatsu 23.Zack Ryder 24.Alex Riley 25.Michael McGillicutty 26.JTG 27.Ryback 28.Wade Barrett 29.Jimmy Uso 30.Jey Uso 31.Dolph Ziggler Hey, they had exactly 30 guys out there! It's just that Dolph wasn't seen during the last segment, and obviously he's in it. Honestly, I think they should take out the guys who already have matches, and save those spots for the surprise returns. I don't think it's fair for guys to possibly miss out just because some people worked the Rumble Match AND had a match on the undercard.

True I just thought they could have build up their match for Main Event or something like that rather than putting on the pre-show where they will get limited time.

I think that's exactly why it's a pre-show match. That way, it's over quickly and they can both rest up for the Rumble match and get about two hours between matches.

{Spoiler}- John Cena - Randy Orton - Ryback - Sheamus - Dolph Ziggler (Entering at #1 or #2) - Antonio Cesaro - Wade Barrett - Kane - Daniel Bryan - The Miz - Cody Rhodes - Damien Sandow - Darren Young - Titus O’Neil - Heath Slater - Jinder Mahal - Drew McIntyre - Kofi Kingston - Brodus Clay - The Great Khali - Jimmy Uso - Jey Uso - Michael McGillicutty
With 23 competitors announced, that leaves 7 spots open. WWE will likely name a few more entrants on SmackDown and will almost certainly leave a few spots open for surprise appearances this Sunday. Out of genuine curiosity, where did this list come from? I read it on Rajah.com

I understand that, I just figure this feud will be a bit more important but oh well :Pand with the way they are pushing Cesaro it seems like a lock he will be in the rumble for 30+ minutes and be co-ironman with Dolph himself.

Even if it'd mean Cena's virtually a lock to win, I really hope the Rumble winner goes after the WWE title this year.
Because anyone who turns down the chance to either wrestle one of the most famous wrestlers in the history of the business or to dethrone the longest world title reign in a quarter-century is going to look like a complete moron.

And then there's the existence of Ziggler's blue lunchbox, meaning that you're title reign is perennially in jeopardy for the next four months. Or if the Rumble win is Dolph Ziggler, he'd have a guaranteed shot at the WHC anyway.

Cesaro is my darkhorse to win the Rumble. He's the one mid-card guy that has consistent build and with a Rumble win it could put him over the top. I dig it.

{Spoiler}Can't find the source of this but..- Dolph Ziggler and John Cena starting the Rumble at 1 and 2 is, unfortunately, a very real possibility. The idea has apparently been at least floated that those two will be the first two in and last two standing before Cena eliminates Dolph for the win.
So Cena WINS lol to the extreme.

Even with all the rumors of who may be winning the matches I am still starting to get really hyped for this now. It helps I am hosting a party for it and will probably be a drinking game or two with the Rumble. Just can't wait till Sunday!

So Cena WINS lol to the extreme. I actually like Cena/Zigler as first/last in/out, but the ending I'd like is Cena throws Zigs out and begins his celebration and doesn't see E catch zolph then throw him back in. He then Super kicks Cena over the top rope. Or, he slaps the sleeper hold on then after Cena passes out big E climbs in the ring and helps Dolph throw him over the top.

They both sound like a variaion on the way HBK won it at #1, especially the first idea, I mean that in a good way. Both would be great endings,Cena still looks strong but Ziggler wins

I'm so glad they did the By The Numbers, was worried they'd forgot this year. It doesn't feel like the Rumble without it now.
