Predictable as all hell, but that doesn't take away from a very fun Rumble (like they usually are) and a good World Heavyweight Championship match.

The Rock tripped when the lights went out - hit his head on the table and that's why he lost.
There was no interference.

Not only will this awful booking cost them Mania buys, it's going to make EC almost meaningless as nobody believes anything will change with that match as a result and face it, nobody is buying EC to see what happens with the WHC. Lots of $ lost tonight. Yeahhhhhhhhh not true Cena vs. Rock is still the biggest money match so the booking got them to where they want to be. I honestly think Rock/Lesnar, or Rock/Undertaker would draw more fans. But it's kind of irrelevant considering it's at Mania which draws itself anyway.

So is it true that Rock is not booked for any of the February Raws? That would mean that both WWE and TNA have got themselves in situations where their top champions are missing a month of TV.

I feel like a weird wrestling fan when I look at these boards. I really enjoyed the match, the booking, and the ending. The false ending got me and then they went with the obvious. Sometimes, the obvious is too obvious so I appreciate them toying with the emotions a little bit before getting there. Not the biggest fan of Rock/Cena 2, but Rock beating Punk went fine in my eyes. This is pretty much my reaction.

It's hard to be furious over the obvious, but I am really upset about the way WWE have treated CM Punk. I don't care that he lost the title, all reigns come to an end. It's the fact that they didn't let him do it at WrestleMania after all the hard work he's put into that company and being the champion that ticks me off. He's earned a Mania main-event.

He'll most likely either be in the main event for the title with Cena and Rock or he'll be in the semi-main event streak match against Taker.

I didn't like that Godfather was wasted for a joke elimination. I didn't like the Great Khali of all people was in the Rumble. I absolutely hated that six wrestlers worked the undercard AND worked in the Rumble match. I like Cesaro, Rhodes, Sandow, Kane, and Bryan, and Miz is actually my favorite guy on the roster, but it irritated me that a lot of talented individuals missed out on the Rumble event altogether.

Rock/Cena is still gonna make a ton of money. I loved the reign and didn't like the way the finish was done, but we all knew this was gonna happen. Yeah, I agree. It's the money match, and WWE was smart to go in that direction. The IWC (myself included) only makes up a small percentage of the people who buy Wrestlemania on PPV. The casuals will love another Rock/Cena feud for the title. Even though, I would rather have had Punk retain -- it just wouldn't have been the right move for business.

I'm foolish - I honestly thought after over a year of being champ, no matter what happened people wouldn't complain about Punk being mistreated. But I was wrong. I wish I was treated this bad by company.

I wish I was treated this bad by company. Moral of the story: A man can have the longest heavyweight championship reign in modern history, main event every PPV in between, be more or less undefeated, even hold the title while on injury, and will still be "misused" the second he drops the title. ![](http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lk7w0qrpnq1qalw95.gif)

I really enjoyed the show, even though the booking was predictable. This. Even when Cena won I wasn't upset because I got why they did it, same with Rock. Also I was so shocked to see Jericho, WWE did a great job with that.

Cena winning the Rumble took the air completely out of the crowd. I hope Jericho is actually back, but somehow I doubt it... Given how they emphasized early on that he doesn't have a contract , I'm figuring he's not back full-time until a bit closer to Mania. I don't know because it is Jericho who loves the work the fans. I wouldn't think a non contracted guy would lasted as long as he did in the match when nobody else who where just for just that match didn't. It was a fun show but they the WWE gave it away from the start who was going to win. The whole Bar scene and nobody said Cena's name then show Cena who winks at the camera. Come on.

Pretty fun show overall but I do not like The Rock going over Punk even though the writing was on the wall, & I felt that the crowd didn't want it to happen either. However, CM Punk had an incredibly fun & long reign & will still be in the title picture in my opinion so all and all can't be too bent out of shape about it.
