I really don't rate Osborne as Spidey's arch nemesis, I really think it is Doc Ock. Osborne/Goblin always comes across as an egotisical idiot to me, as Osborne his plans are poor and he comes across as a poor mans Joker when in Goblin mode.
My ranking of Spidey top ten villains. 1. Doctor Octopus 2. Green Goblin (All of them not just Norman) 3. Venom 4. Kingpin 5. Carnage 6. Mysterio 7. Hobgoblin 8. Lizard 9. The Vulture 10. The Jackal

I've thought they should cash in on the vampire thing with Morbius for awhile.
And in a movie I, and likely no one else would like to see, my favorite C List character Puma would be one I'd dig on-screen.

There's a way to make the costume dark green with gold trim without it looks "comic booky."
Seriously. Do these people they're not adapting a Shakespeare tragedy?

I so disagree with your on that statement after all Osborne {Spoiler}Murdered Gwen Stacey right in front of Spiderman Oh, I assure you they wouldn't do that in these new movies. I just feel as a general rule that someone with no history or usage in a Spiderman movie would bring more to the table than the "you were my fwiend!!" story we've gotten time and time again. I never said I didn't like Osborne...I just prefer several other people.

I'm pretty sure we're getting Death of Gwen somewhere along the lines. Norman and MJ are coming, they've done death of Captain Stacy, I feel like Gwen's days are numbered.
Which is a shame as Emma Stone's knocking it outta the park. But then again, that'll make it all the more tragic.

Actually his green and yellow costume would work because Loki dresses in green and yellow and that worked fine for both Thor and Avengers.

I don't buy any argument that people wouldn't take it seriously if Electro looked silly, when this guy was one of the biggest villains fo the summer ![](http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120511112337/batman/images/f/f0/Bane_TDKR3.jpg) He had the voice of a saturday morning cartoon character to boot.

I thought it was silly when Bendis tried foisting him off as some Lex Luthor Magnificent Bastard wannabe when he was always a crazy idiot who ruins everything good that ever came his way. it worked when Warren Ellis did it because he made it pretty blatant that Norman's a crazy idiot with delusions of grandeur.

Regarding Bane up there, you can KINDA buy the mask once you've already suspended disbelief that a dude will dress up as a bat.
As for Electro, the regular suit, especially the mask, would make him more like a GE mascot than anything else, and would look ridiculous on-screen if it was a direct translation. One like the tweaked Ultimate Alliance suit might work; but the straight Ditko costume would be hokey as hell, way more so than Bane.

Do we have to keep reaffirming his reason for continuing to be Spiderman is because people close to him die? Is that the only way we can get the story moving is by killing someone off? Why are most comic book movies done in that form anymore? We don't need tragedy to sell us on why he does what he does.

I think it'd actually probably be better to not kill Gwen, at least not anytime soon. Besides, keep Mary Jane far away. The more distance between the current movies and the Raimi ones, the better, really. Not saying the Raimi ones were bad, just that rehashing things would only dilute the movies.

Oh, I'll say that the Raimi movies were bad. I was never a fan of them. I guess that's my issue with the newest one, is that in a lot of ways it just looks like a darker version of the Raimi movies. The same plot devices have been in effect in all the movies. I don't want a drastic change from everything, I mean we don't need some fun loving Spidey, but the story layout has always bothered me about all the movies.

I'm not saying it has to be tragic, I juat don't see them ignoring a story that fundamental.
I agree they could, just don't think they will
And any chance of MJ bein far away is gone; she's in the upcoming one.

This is just something I've been thinking about for a while, and I guess that's just always been my big issue. Anything in the story that goes on has some sort of direct association with Parker already. It just seems like such a small universe when compared to other superheros. Adding another tragic element doesn't do anything favors unless they want to go the "Alfred from Batman and Robin route" with Aunt May or something. Spiderman needs to fight corruption in the form of someone who he hasn't been acquainted with yet. Hopefully this next movie will do that, or maybe they'll have Jamie Foxx be his f***ing roommate or something...and then an experiment goes wrong...ugh.

Sorta Ditko's argument way back when, when he wanted to unmask the Goblin as just a random criminal Peter had never encountered.

I'd rather have the Shocker.
I'm dead serious.
Especially over this altered version of Electro.

Someone convince Jamie Foxx to play The Spot.[/quote .. ...That would actually be amazing. Holy crap, I hadn't even thought of that, that would be a villain I'd want to see him play and like to see a movie based on. There's so much potential there. ... Dang.

I don't know why Spot is such a jobber in the series. You have a guy who can create portals ANYWHERE. He should be one of Spiderman's top villains. Hell, the battle scenes would just be epic beyond belief.

Actually his green and yellow costume would work because Loki dresses in green and yellow and that worked fine for both Thor and Avengers. They turned Loki's green and yellow into emerald and gold. It wasn't as flashy as his comic self's colors and they also kept his horned helmet to minimum screen time, too(a wise choice, IMO).
