I suspect they'll got the Ultimate route and just have him wear a Jumpsuit. Maybe not the lightning bolt cleavage though.

...I had no idea Electro will be the villian.

I'd agree, that seems the easiest route to go with; I'm amazed that reading the comments on the link there, people are bemoaning the fact that it won't be the typical suit. It's like really? I love Electro, but that'd look ri-damned-diculous.

...I had no idea Electro will be the villian. Woops.. er.. RETROACTIVE SPOILER ALERT. I'll hit the Crisis wall a couple of times and it'll have never happened.* *yup, I know that's DC. Work with me here.

A Spider-Man villain who was a electrician that got electricity-based powers when a lightingbolt hit a powerline he was working on.

And he wears a green and yellow lightning bolt themed costume, complete with a mask made entirely of lightning bolts jutting outwards from the center of his face. Looks incredibly stupid, even for a comic book outfit.

It's mainly the color scheme I dislike the most about his outfit. If he had say black instead of green it might look better.

I always like when movies try to do something different than the comics (if you want the comics, read the comics y'know?), but I love when they say stuff like they want to make it 'less comic bookie." It always reminds me of how badly WWE doesn't want to be wrestling.

I love the classic Electro look. Especially the colors. Just give him the three bolt mask not the five. If they did yellow and black they be all up in Black Adam and Black Vulcan territory. Plus almost every classic (1960's) Spidey villain was green and or purple with yellow or orange. As the baddies were normally rocking secondary colors while heroes wore primary.

He'd still look silly as all hell on screen. Only way he wouldn't look silly was if it was an animated film. Even The Avengers, the most comic bookish comic book film around had toned down outfits for everyone. Well everyone except Captain America and a lot of people pointed out how he looked silly with his cowl on. They could maybe make Electro's outfit work if he went sans mask.

they could always do what they did in Spectacular Spider-man and have his head get shrouded in lightning when he's angry instead of wearing a mask.

I'm just expecting the black trenchcoat over some type of lightning bolt shirt/spandex.

It's a shame, I like that spider-mans villains are colourful and zany. I'm not keen on a villain having his suit adjusted because it's just the same as adjusting Spidermans suit.
Spiderman at the end of the day jumps around in a red and blue costume, I don't see why the villains have to have there costumes changed.
If it was Mysterio there would be uproar if his fishbowl was not used.

Yawn.
The minute I read him saying that they want it to be less comic booky I switched off.
Im already against this version of Elektro for being black, may as well be against a costume change to try and make something less 'comic bookie'
