I don't know why Spot is such a jobber in the series. You have a guy who can create portals ANYWHERE. He should be one of Spiderman's top villains. Hell, the battle scenes would just be epic beyond belief. I'm amazed they haven't taken advantage of the popularity of the Portal series with Spot.

Hell something as generic as "the gatemaker" or gatekeeper would be an improvement.

Well the thing is, at least to me, between the name Spot and the black circles on a white suit makes him look less like a portal weilding villain and more of a dalmatian themed bad guy.

Yeah Spot, if his suit was done like it is on the page would be silly looking, BUT, say they did it kinda like Rorschach's mask where it was constantly shifting. Now that could look cool.

Sorta Ditko's argument way back when, when he wanted to unmask the Goblin as just a random criminal Peter had never encountered. except that wasn't his argument. his argument was "Norman Osbourne is a kind and noble self-made man who didn't sponge off the system so he can't be the bad guy" and a bunch of other stuff that had to do with objectivism that I won't get into here. if anything his idea of it being some random guy would've probably made Green Goblin an afterthought like a lot of other Spider-man villains.

I am more bothered that they are going with Jamie Foxx.
