EA are just waiting in the wings. Not for those chicken scraps. But for WWE they'll try to get it. It will come down to EA vs Rockstar for the WWE license.

I would fear EA getting it and sucking all the fun out of the games. I don't know, when I think EA games I just think super sterile with no personality of their own, and I'd fear the same for the WWE games.

Yeah, it's probably not a fair opinion - and I'm definitely no expert on video games, let alone EA themselves. It's just always been my opinion, even though I do enjoy the Madden series.

I mean they do have those. But they have so many studios at this point that it is hard to think of them as 1 company.

I'm going to throw out a random company named syn Sophia. They are a japanese company who has done some excellent wrestling games in the past such as the Virtual Pro Wrestling series and a little known batch of video games called WCW/NWO Revenge and WWF No Mercy.

I could see Rockstar's parent company Take-Two Interactive being interested in the WWE license, perhaps as a 2KSports title.

As long as they release Homefront 2, I don't care.

dont we want some one else to get the WWE license? No, as bad as THQ games have got recently at least they know what WWE is about and have been making WWE games for years, if anyone else got it things could get alot worse, I mean look how bad the old acclaim games were.

That's a non-issue since Acclaim no longer operate outside of licensing korean MMOs.

On the other side, one plus if EA gets it: They have already gotten international/minor leagues in their NHL games, their last MLB game was the first ones to get licenses for minor league teams, and they already get licenses for competing MMA promotions for their MMA game. Combined with how low the price would be for the other promotions- If there is EVER a chance in our lifetime of seeing a North American Fire Pro-style "WWE vs. TNA vs. ROH" game, it would be EA Sports getting the WWE license and making pro wrestling games.

This better not mean Rabbids in WWE 14. I'm still pissed off about those Rabbids being in TMNT Smash Up.
